It's Friday and the sun is shining! Thank goodness the weekend is here. I'm telling you, the best feeling for me is looking at the clock on my desktop and seeing 5:00pm. I punch out and drive my car far, far, away from the office. It's kind of like that feeling when you see kids run off the bus to their house! Haha, yeah that's me in an adult sense.

Good news! My husby found a place for us in San Diego! Yes, I now have an address in San Diego, well actually not till mid March, but still.

Any exciting plans for the weekend? Mine consists of attending a sushi birthday dinner then grabbing a drink to celebrate. Then, hitting the malls for interview outfits and prepping my portfolio. So it looks like one night out and two nights in! Maybe I'll be able to bake some cupcakes this week, who knows?

What are you up to this weekend? Whether it's a night out with the girls, a romantic night in with your significant other, a shopping escapade, or slamming the books, just be glad it's the WEEKEND! CHEERS!

Under The Weather

I took a shot of NyQuil last night, hoping that'll I have a better morning. But that wasn't the case this morning, I still feel restless and my sore throat didn't seem to get better. The good thing is that the cold chills are gone. So that's why I didn't blog yesterday, simply because I was under the weather. Which makes me thing, should I blog everyday, every other day? Hmmm....

I feel like my life has pushed on the accelerator. Things have been happening so quickly, but no matter what, it's all coming together. Next Wednesday, I'll be leaving VA to take care of some personal matters in San Diego. I'm so ready to escape this 30-40 degree cold and have some sunshine in my life. Any places that you recommend in San Diego? Whether it's food, shopping, etc, let me know! I'm def having my share of carne asada fries, In-N-Out, and YogurtLand for sure (or as my cousin would say, "fo sho!")

OH! So let's talk career lifestyle. In preparation for the move to Cali, I have to prep myself for the interviews. I don't actually have a good suit in my wardrobe, and I know that's essential. But, I don't want to go interviews looking stale in a suit. I want to look sharp, chic, and comfortable. Any suggestions for interview outfits? Or what stores do you recommend? This weekend, I'll definitely swing by Express, The Limited, and New York & Co, H&M, Banana Republic, J.Crew and perhaps Nordstrom. Any store recommendations?

I catch myself daydreaming about Cali during work at times. I try to snap out of it but it's so hard. I mean, having to start up your car a few minutes before the drive just to warm it up isn't cool. So, I'm excited to get ready, see the sun, and walk out with a light jacket (or not even a jacket!). We'll see, I'll still miss you Virginia.

Quality Time Over Cupcakes

A special thanks to the ones that left comments and twitter messages welcoming me back. It's good to be back! Haha, it's only a few, but I know there's some readers out there, don't think I can't track you. PUAHAH! I'm kidding, I seriously have no idea who's reading this! I'm just glad you're reading.

As most of you know, me and the husby will be moving to San Diego due to his military orders. I'm anxious, but I'm a nervous wreck at the same time. Why? Maybe, it's because I've never moved before. I've been stuck in good ol' Virginia for a quarter of my life (Yes, that means I'm 25). I wish I could use the excuse of feeling like a big fish in a little pond, but I'm no big shot here, so that wouldn't be valid. But the farthest I've moved was from about 15 miles from my parent's house.

I have a big family. But, throughout the years and even the most recent days, my big family started to migrate. Some in Texas, some in San Diego, and who knows where to next. I've always been the one left behind, but in a little over a month, it'll be my turn to say, "see you later!". All I can say is I'm going to be a wreck!

So as my days in Virginia start to dwindle, my parents never fail to consistently remind me how much they are going to miss me. It's going to be tough on them, even on me. I'm very close with my family, not just my immediate but my extended. The good thing is that I have family in California. My brother, his fiance, and my sister-in-law all moved to San Diego recently. Also, my husby's side of the family isn't too far away either, so as long as I'm with family, I'll know I'm in good hands.

For the time I have left in VA, I'm savoring every moment with family and friends. My little cousin, Jazmyn is my "mini-me", so spending time with her and brother is one of my favorite things. We love baking together and she's an awesome helping hand. So, we've paged through the Martha Stewart Cupcake book together and made a deal to make cupcakes when we can. Take a look at our cuppycakes! All scratch baby!

Now that I'm back into blogging, I'll be sure to take better pics. The pics below are from my iPhone so the quality is pretty whack. But you get the idea.

Over the weekend, it was a sad realization that cupcakes are hard to transport! Seeing smeared frosting on saran wrap straight up sucked! I was on the hunt for this at Macy's but then ran out! Grrr... Guess I'm going to have to visit another Macy's cause I really want this!

I told you this blog was going to be different from before! Haha, hope you don't mind. Like I said in my last one, I'll still do my beauty reviews. Welcome to the life of JenTheJunkie!

Holy Hiatus! Look Who's Back?

Why hello! It's been a long six months. Are you guys (my readers) still there? Just curious. Well, I guess it was a well needed break, and I noticed that bloggers were starting to fall off my blog roll. But here I am, back in full effect. I changed the aesthetics of my site, any thoughts?

I'm going to start blogging again. I can't gurantee that it'll be like my old blog filled with hauls and beauty reviews (I'll still write my reviews!). I'm at the point where I've plauteued on my purchases. Sure, I've bought a thing or two, but seriously, my MAC visits are at the point where they are bi-monthly or even longer. I've slacked on keeping up with current collections. Don't get me wrong, I'm still quite the product junkie, I've just learned to appreciate the stuff I already have.

So what's the new and improved blog going to be like? Well, let's see. Lots of big changes are happening for 2010, not to mention the big move to the west coast. I'll keep you guys in the loop with all that stuff as me and the husby move to San Diego (SHAMELESS PROMO: Which by the way, if any of you guys know of companies hiring in SD, let me know!). Hmm, what else? Oh yeah, and I'll probably post some pics as I bake my way through some recipes in Martha Stewart's Cupcake book.

Look Who's Back with MAC!

Ahh! It's already August, guys! Where has the time gone? OH man, it's been pretty busy on my end, so let me fill you in!

First off, I got honorable mention for the CIBU17 contest! WOOT WOOT! My husby was joking around with me and he kept teasing me saying "So, um, technically, you were like 4th place?" LOL! HAHAHAHA! SO what?!?! I got some freebies! It was my first YouTube vid and I was nervous. Not sure if I'll be doing any more vids, I'm a tad bit video camera shy! I also won a trivia question from CIBU17 via Twitter, so I'll be getting the Spring Roll Moisture Masque. WOOHOO! I love CIBU products, they tame my beastly hair! Follow CIBU17 on TWITTER!!

Ookay, next topic! A few weeks ago, I went to TJ Maxx and found this amazing double barreled curling iron. It's by RUSK! Originally $60 bucks, I got it on clearance for $15! I looovvee this iron, there's three different curls you can do. I did the weaving technique on my cousin, Irene's hair. Look how gorgeous it looks! Oh yeah, and check out my flat iron case for $5! I love bargain steals!

Oh yeah, I started wearing earrings! LOL! I haven't worn earrings since my wedding, which by the way, our one year anniversary is coming up soon!!! When I'm not wearing this, I do rock my DSK black heart earrings!

Hmmmm.. what else? Sorry, I'm just basically updating you on the past month of my life. If you're bored, STOP HERE! Oh yeah, one of my little cousins left me! BOOO! His dad got transferred for another job. It was hard to say bye, but we all made a cake for him and his family. We made another cake for my cousin's birthday. So check out my two monstrous cupcakes! That's one whole box of mix to make on huge cupcake! MMmM! It was delish!

Okay, so I realized I haven't purchased any MAC since the Family and Friends discount, which I'd say, that's pretty darn good. I'm really calming down with my beauty product purchases because I'm finally finding a good skin care routine and makeup routine. Phew!

Last week, my sister-in-law, Tricia came over for dinner. Well after dinner, she was craving some FroYo and so we hopped in the car. Then, being sneaky and mischevious (I'm exaggerating), we ended up talking about MAC's new tinted moisturizer. She said, "Well we can just look!". Then my eyes widened, "Yeah right! Since we do ever go just to look!". Ookay, blame it on me cause I was the driver, we flipped an opposite turn and headed over to MAC. DOOHHH!! LOL!

After gawking at the new tinted moisturizers, it didn't feel absolutely amazing on my hand when I swatched. I wasn't ready to fork out $29 on a moisturizer that didn't tickle me. So Tricia recommended that we get samples. WOOT! I'm so glad we got a sample of this stuff. First off, it's a huge sample, it's almost been a week and I still have a ton leftover! So since I didn't pick up the tinted moisturizer, I had to get my hands on the new StarFlash eyeshadows from LoveThatLook. Oh man, I love the texture of these e/s! I wish it was permanent. I had Glamour Check! from a past collection, so I picked up Smoke and Diamonds and Snob. Let me say, these have the most amazing finish! Anyways, turns out that I really love MAC's Studio Moisture Tint! OH man, it's the best tinted moisturizer I've tried and trust me, I've tried quite a few. I even posted a blog a long time about about my review of TM's.

Then, Tricia kept raving and raving about the 131 brush. I was eyeballing it, but $40 bucks for a brush? Eh, I'm trying to save here! But luckily, I found this in the mail!!

Isn't he amazing? Yes, proud of it! My husby surprised me! On Fridays, when I get off work, I usually change out of my work clothes and we head out somewhere. Before we went out, he told me to check the mail. Once I opened the mailbox, there was a MAC bag. I thought, "WAH? A package? I didn't order anything!" Then I realized it was a bag, then I though "Oh the heck got in our mailbox!" Then finally, after slowing down my thoughts, I realized it was from the husby. The lovely note and gift made me giggle like a kid! I jumped back in the car and smothered him with kisses. PUAHAHAHA! TMI? He just knew how to make my FRIDAY!

Ookay, I think I'm all caught up now. PHEW! That was a loonnngg post. Hopefully you enjoyed! So I realized, the next 30 days are going to pretty packed... wanna know why?

Out with the OLD, in with the NEW!

I've been on the prowl for new makeup storage for awhile. My bathroom countertop started to look like a hot mess, the products have finally won and have consumed my countertop. I was sick of Rubbermaid/Sterlite drawers, and I wanted something chic! My Sterlite drawers were piling high and the husby always teased me of my towering product storage. I googled "makeup storage" like a maniac, and then I even looked up "stationery storage" because it could serve as a multi-purpose storage. Then finally, I'm stumbled on a crafty blog! She had regular IKEA drawers, then decided to slap some vintage wallpaper on the drawers. Then it hit me, I was finally inspired....

Being that I live in an area that lacks the better things in life (i.e. Ikea, Georgetown Cupcakes, Urban Outfitters, American Apparel, Coastal Flats, etc), I usually have to travel 3 hours to get to these places. BLAH! My dear friend, Mar offered to pick up the storage at IKEA for me, but unfortunately they didn't have it there. Being the persistent person I am, I eBayed that bad boy! WOO! Lo and behold, I got it! It was $19.99 plus $12.99 shipping. UGH! Shipping was expensive, but hey, I ordered on Thursday and I got it this past Saturday!

I do love ordering stuff online, and I have a sick obsession of tracking my stuff constantly. Knowing that I would get my package on Saturday, I had to stop by Target on Friday night. I made way to the scrapbooking section and fumbled through all the paper. I saw the usual, floral prints here and there, baby prints, wedding themes, and then, I saw zebra stripes! WOO! Safari theme! I own you!

On Saturday, me and the husby came home from the beach (oh yeah, we also made a detour to get some "Just Cupcakes!"), and as soon as we parked, I saw the FedEx note on the door. I was crushed! I thought "ERGH! Now I have to wait till Monday... SON OF A..." THEN! I read the note closely and the box was checked that said "Left at Front Door". I swung the door open and there it was.

I danced on my porch, and the husby just said "OH MY GAH!" HAHA! I'm sick, I know! I pulled out the husby's tools. He asked if I needed help, and my excitement ran through and I said "No, I'm good!". When I laid out all the pieces.. I thought "CRAP!". But I took a deep breath, and opened the direction and began hammering away.

I did it! I felt accomplished, I like assembling stuff. I'm quite handy, ya know? So check it out! Pretty nifty eh? With the scrapbooking paper I bought at Target, I just traced out the drawers then slapped some craft glue.

So while I was doing this, I figured I'd let you guys peep my stash. It's not much, but it's okay. I also bought purple inserts from Office Depot for better organization (thanks for the tip, Trish!). After doing this, I went crazy with my whole bathroom countertop. I bought a basket for my hair products for my countertop, and I cleaned out all my other bathroom drawers. I threw away old products and old makeup. But I felt better and now I have a fresh start!

BUMMER! This is a fallout tutorial! My hair didn't turn out the way I wanted it to because I flat ironed it in the morning. BOO! But it still has tons of volume. PUAHA! AH well, it was def. worth a shot. There's lots of good entries, so we'll still where this goes. OH! And sorry about the volume, I have no idea why it's sooo loooow. It was loud in iMovie and in QuickTime. GAH! I have a new found respect for people that do videos on YouTube. It's toughie!

My Not So "SUMO" Haul & Palettes

As most of you beauty junkies know, MAC had their Friends and Family 25% discount. Promo code "SUMO" was the magic word using their promo image of a jolly sumo wrestler. Well, of course, I ordered. My order wasn't so "SUMO" but I'm pleased. I got the stuff I was eyeballing and staying within my budget. Of course, there's tons more that I would like to have grabbed, but I'll save that for another day. I wanted to focus on getting more soft browns and I think I have completed my mission.

I got some "product sweat" on my CCB but it's okay. A little swirls here and there and it's gone. But let me tell you, out of all the stuff I bought, "Hush" is my favorite! I used it on the apples of my cheeks and then dusted "Soft & Gentle" Mineralized Skinfinish and I'm glowing like a champ!

Anyways, after putting the pans in the palette, I ran upstairs to get my other palettes and do some reorganizing. I don't have any hot colors, cause I tend to stick with the browns, neutrals, and the smokeys. Here's a pic of all my palettes, rearranged! I don't have anymore single eyeshadows (wait yes, I have one more!) , I like having all my stuff in a palette. If it's not in there, I'll neglect it.

So when I get ready for work, I usually get a tad bit frustrated because I have to open each friggin palette to find what I was looking for. So, I finally decided to label them! Phew!

Here's my palettes! Nothing fancy shmancy. It might look a little dark, but I wanted to take these pictures without flash so you can see the color.

Err! So I'm a tad bit bummed with this third palette. I bought Mink & Sable at CCO, and I didn't even realize how close it was to Sumptous Olive. DOH! Oh well. So as you see, I have 12 spots left. I'm not in a rush to fill these up, but sooner or later I will.

Anyways, I'm just glad it's Thursday! Which means, it's payday! WOOT WOOT! Oh yeah and one more thing. I have to show you guys the romper I ordered. I'm been on the hunt for a romper for quite some time, but I had no luck. Finally, I saw this on AE.com. WOOT! Only $19.99! What a steal. My only worry is the fit of it. Eeeks, I hope it'll fit right. If not, what a complete womper! I showed this to the husby, and he was like "You're going wear that out in public?" And I had to tell him all the different way I could wear this bad boy and that'll I'll probably layer it. PUAHAHA! Oh man oh man. Does it look like pajamas to you?? Honestly?

Ookay, one more day till Friday! Hurry UP! I was supposed to head over to DC to celebrate my old man's birthday, but plans changed. DOH! OH well, I think it's going to be a movie weekend. I'm going to watch "My Sister's Keeper" with Tricia (don't forget tissues), and then probably Transformers 2 with the husby. I'm not complaining, I loove watching movies I live for my weekends.

Hola my beauties! Slacker, slacker, slacker... tsk tsk. Anyways, I've been pretty wrapped up. Anyways, enough of the excuses. So now I'm on the hunt for a new skin care regime.

I've been using Fresh's Soy Face Cleanser since January and it's time to change it up. PLUS! That cleanser is $38 friggin dollars. I know it's skin care and it's okay to splurge, but the way the economy is heading, yeah, I should be saving. Anyways, the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser is good, but for some reason, I'm starting to feel like I'm not getting a deeper clean. With the heat coming on, I've been laying on the SPF and I don't think my cleanser was removing all that stuff. Which lead to clogged pores, then leads to little breakouts. DOOHH! So enough of the cream cleanser, it's time to bring on the tingly gel bead like goodies. I decided to channel my old teenage self and went back to Clean and Clear. I bought the Oil Free Daily Pore Cleanser. Let's hope this works out! So far, I'm loving this stuff. My face feels ubbbeer clean and it's not dry or tight after I'm done rinsing. I don't have a toner yet, but I'm looking for one that's alcohol free.

I have dry, semi-sensitive skin, so it's a bit complicated. Any recommendations? Besides, Clinique, Aveeno, Cetaphil, Fresh, St. Ives, Mario Badescu, and Origins? (yes, I've tried all of those) Or whatever, what do you use?!?!?

Anyways, so I'm patiently waiting for my MAC order. GAHHH! Hurry up, already! I can't wait to post the goodies I got. After this I'll be taking a break from MAC. Yes, I mean it! OooOH! ANNNND! Since it's getting freaking humid as crap outside, I wanted a tinted moisturizer with SPF. I used Fresh's High Noon as a TM, but there's no SPF. Then I bought Benefit's You Rebel and then I busted a few pimples =(. WOMP WOMP WOMP! So now, I rekindled with my Laura Mercier Oil Free TM. Then I decided to get my MAC Strobe Cream and mix the two. TA DAAAA! I LOOVVE this stuff. It's absolutely fab! Now if I can only find my new skincare regime... hmmmm Ookay, sorry for my lack of pics and stuff.

OOOOH! I want a new mask too! I found this at ULTA when I was shopping with Trish. C. Booth Deep Cleansing Volcanic Mud Mask. I've heard so much good stuff about MAC's le Volcanic Ash Exfoliator. So when I ran into this, I got excited. I didn't buy it though cause I wanted to do more reasearch. It's only 9.99 at ULTA! Anyone tried this?

This post is a little meh, but oh well, you still read it. PUAHAH! Ooh yeah, as for an update on Operation Sexy. Today, me and the Husby ran two miles and did a few sets of stairs. Aye yeh yeh, it's easy to do two miles on the treadmill, but outisde in the heat, eeks, it's tough. But, we did it! GAHHH! I smell the bikini already... but I'm not quite ready yet.

Move Over OPI! Make Room for ZOYA!

Everytime I parade the nail polish aisles at ULTA or Target, nothing really fancies me. Sure, I've became a fan of OPI's Drip Dry because my sister-in-law went off a whim and bought it, and we both loved it BUT I always caught myself referencing back to Zoya. It's been months ago when I went to a spa that carried Zoya polish. But from what I recall, my manicure lasted more than a week. Other nail spas I've been to always carried OPI, but my manicure never lasted long. Unfortunately, the spa that carried Zoya no longer does manicures/pedicures, they solely focus on haircare, massages, and facials. BOO! So that's what brought me to http://www.zoya.com/.

Now, just so you know, I have a horrible habit of peeling of my nail polish. Right when it starts to lift, I tend to grab it and peel all the nail polish off. Horrible, isn't it? Especially when you spend time doing your nails, and then it only takes minutes to kill a good manicure.

So here's my good ol' haul from Zoya. I had to try to the Color Lock System to break my poor habit.

Everything looks soooo pretty! I love my Remove+, which is the purple nail polish remover. It's in a pump! So my clumsy butt doesn't need to worry about knocking this stuff over and being wasteful. Plus, it smells good, like lavender! What I love about this remover is that it cleans the nail plate and extends the polish wear, all without drying the nail.

Citing from their site: Zoya is free of toluene, formaldehyde, DBP (phthalates) and camphor.

So no need to worry about sniffing and inhaling strong nail polish fumes! I did my nails in the bedroom and the husby didn't even complain about the smell! SCOORREE!

I'm pretty neutral when it comes to painting my nails. I guess because I don't feel like I have the bestest nails to pull off color. I have short nail beds, womp! But nonetheless, I do have a passion for pale pinks and good ol' classic french tips. I do have my eye on some other Zoya neutrals, but maybe I'll twitter the Zoya Nail Lady (http://twitter.com/Zoya_NailPolish) and ask her for some expert help.

Here's a pic of my nails. I really prefer my left hand over my right. I feel like my right hand is busted. PUAHA! I don't know what's wrong with me. But anyways, please pardon the crooked fingers. I blame cracking my knuckles in my youth... DOH!

I looooovvveee Zoya! I bought three nail polishes (2 Madisons, and 1 Melanie) and gave one to Tricia to try. She loved it just as much! And hopefully, I have converted her. Maybe I'll convert you blogger gals to try Zoya polishes. My manicure lasted longer and I didn't catch myself peeling off my nail polish. That's a major plus for me!

The Color Lock System is officially a holy grail item. With Remove+, Anchor Base Coat, Amor Top Coat, and Hurry Up Speed Drops, you're manicure and pedicure will last long and look fresh. The Hurry Up Speed Drops are going to last a lifetime, I know it'll be awhile before I have to restock. What I love about the Hurry Up Speed Drops is that my manicure/pedicure is dry within 5 minutes!! No need to wait! Plus, I'm impatient and during my old drying times is when I'd ruin my manicure. So I'm in LOOVVE with HurryUP!

As for Customer Service, Zoya went above and beyond. Since I spent a good amount, I was awarded with free shippping and of course, freebies! Who doesn't love freebies? I got an extra 2 oz of Remove+ and another bottle of drops by Qtica (sister-brand).

My only gripe is that I have a hard time finding Zoya is my area =(. I'm a little hesistant to order online because I wouldn't know how the color looks in person. But nevertheless, I'll still continue to be a faithful customer. I doubt I'll be buying any OPI anytime soon!

MAC Event! Style Warrior

Well well well, look who's back on the blogger scene! Hope you guys didn't miss me too much. It's almost been a whole month since I have blogged. My reason....

My love came home! Yes, the husby is home! He was gone for awhile and it was really tough. So I've been smothering him with my love. LOL! Being a military wife is very hard and it's definitely making me a stronger woman day by day. The good thing, my husby shouldn't be leaving for awhile for a looonngg time. I'm giddy! And one more, here's an update on Operation Sexy. Being that the husby came back, he's been my coach. I've upgraded the exercise routine to jogging 1.5 miles and then hitting the stairs and doing plenty of sets. Then finishing up with some core workouts, let's hope I can get wear the bikini by summer.

Ookay, now onto the good stuff! The lovely MAC Kim invited me to the Style Warrior event and she wanted me to bring some friends along. So, Carmen, Trish, and myself all headed to the Style Warrior event yesterday and we came out looking sooooo fly! Pictures tell a thousand words so here I am flooding you with some photos!

"Make me pretty!" LOL! FIrst pic is my bare tired face. Thank goodness Kim worked her magic and did wonders on my face. She did a toned smokey green eye to match my shirt. Haha, my plain jane outfit. I had a really cute outfit to wear to this event, but after working out with the husby that morning. I was such a bum, and I opted for my comfy shirt, jeans, and flipflops. I wear heals every single day of the week for work, so when I can slip on some Reefs, I'll take it!!

OOoOH! So I'm now debating if I should get the MAC MIneralized Satinfinish SPF 15 Foundation. I really liked the finish that it gave me and kudos to SPF. OooH! And I found out my MAC color, haha I bounce from Medium Plus to Medium Dark, but I'm also NC37. Should I get it? Hmmmm...

Well Kim is freaking amazing. She made us all feel like a million bucks. After hanging out with her and watch her do apply her skills we found out some pretty neato info. As they were blasting a Danity Kane song, Trish said "I'm sad they broke up..." Then Kim said, "Ooh, I did Andrea's makeup before".... All of our jaws dropped! WAHHHH! Pretty neato eh?

JenTheJunkie is Missing!

Why hello my dears! I've been straight up M.I.A! I feel like I fell off the face of blogger world. Sorry, hope you can forgive me. I've been slacking on my comments too! ERGH! Tsk tsk...

Here are my reasons. It's "Operation Sexy" (coined by my original coworkers that got me into saying that phrase, you know who you are!). Me and the sis-in-law have officially turned into workout maniacs and healthy eaters (Hummus is my best friend). It's hard to imagine because we can be quite the heffers, but now, with seeing results, it's only motivating me more.

We've been working out everyday with an exemption of a rest day. Basically, a good 1.5-2 mile speedy powerwalk (because I suck at running), doing sets of stairs (that are horrid, but they work!), sit ups, push ups, crunches.. blah blah. You get the idea...

My motivation?

GAH! I'm hoping! I'm 24 and I've never had the guts to wear a bikini! Why? Because I don't feel quite confident in one yet. So let this summer be the break of my tankini spell and the beginning of the bikinis. Wish me luck!

I'm down 2 pounds, and I have 5 more to go! WOOT WOOT!

Oh yeah, I haven't been hauling that much. I scored a couple things here and there. Nothing fancy shmancy. Basically just another Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in Strut, MAC CCB in Improper Copper, and the 239 brush. ERGH! I tried the MAC Line Filler for my undereyes, what a bust! I exchanged that baby for some Lip Gelees instead. So now I'm a happy camper. I have no intentions nor desires to go to MAC for awhile. Well, not till the end of the month cause I'll be attending the Style Warrior MAC Launch. WOOOOO!

Ookay time to peace out. Oh yeah, and a shoutout to dear Carmen! Hehe, she reads blogs when she's on the boat. I can't wait till you get out of the Navy, dear! You can join "Operation Sexy" with us. LOL! See you soon!

Tinted Moisturizer Review

Hello hello! About a month ago, I received an email from Karen Behnke, CEO and "Head Juicer" for Juice Beauty. She was so lovely and kind enough to send me my favorite Juice Beauty product. I have plenty of Juice Beauty favorites, such as The Cleansing Milk, Soothing Eye Concentrate, etc. But this time, I figured that I'd take advantage of the tinted moisturizers. I've never tried them before so I was curious. Fortunately, I received both colors, the medium and the light. Thank you so very much, Karen!

After testing this product out, I figured that a tinted moisturizer review was needed. I'm not really big into foundation, I used to wear MAC Mineralized Loose, then I stopped. Then I tried Laura Mercier, then I stopped. Then I tried Fresh's High Noon then Juice Beauty here and there. So I did my fair share in testing and it's time for a review.

I'm hoping that the flash didn't wash out the colors, but you get the idea I hope.

Thoughts

Juice Beauty Light/Medium. I preferred Juice Beauty Light for now because I'm still in my "winter" skin tone. Soon enough, I'll move over to Medium since it's getting hotter. As for the texture, it's not that thick but when applied, it feels a bit tacky and somewhat heavy. Don't get me wrong, I do love the fact that it has SPF, it'll be especially useful when the hot months strike. Coverage is pretty good, I don't need a lot of coverage, so light coverage will do it for me. It does even out the skin tone and add the glow. The good thing about Juice Beauty, it's organic! No parabens, no petroleum, no phylates, etc...

Fresh's High Noon. I'm biased. I love this stuff. I even have a backup in my bathroom. I know the price is steep, but trust me, it's worth it. It adds that "glow" effect since it has a bit of shimmer in it. I've received compliments on how good my face looks with this on. It has that dewy effect. Coverage is light as well, but it does even out the skin tone. It's not oil-free, which stinks, but I haven't noticed a bad effect on my skin. My sis in law recommended to pair this tinted moisturizer with the MAC 190 brush. I completely agree! I look so refreshed after applying this.

Laura Mercier. EH, the price is steep and it's not really worth it. It provides light coverage and it evens out the tons, but you do have that matte finish. I'm not crazy over it, I still have half a tube left of this stuff. I'm sure I'll come around and use it again. I have no idea, we'll see.

A BIG THANK YOU to all you ladies that sent their Get Well wishes. OH GAH! I felt like death for the past week and having a fever of 104 did not help at all! But I'm finally getting back on the grind, and starting to feel like a normal person again. So I'm on freakin antibiotics that are the size of a horsepill for 10 days! Aye yeh yeh....Stupid BRONCHITIS!

Good News! I'm going to have another sister-in-law! WOO! My brother proposed to my good friend, Kim. Kim and I have been good friends since high school, puahaha so I never imagined my bro with one of my friends. PUAHA! It's all good though, they're both extremely happy and I'm happy to see them HAPPY! They're perfect for each other and I wish them the very best. Now onto the wedding planning... WOO! I can't wait to help! So I'll be heading to Nova this Friday to celebrate. Too bad I won't be able to drink (damn antibiotics.. ) .. It'll still be fun... I'm sooo craving some Georgetown Cupcakes ("mmMmMm niimmm nimm" - have you guys seen Role Models? Remember, chicken fingers? mmmnnnhhhmm nim nim" LOL!) Okay nevermind...

I felt much better on Saturday and I actually went with my mom to run errands. It was good to have that mother-daughter time. We went to Target and I saw that Beauty Blending Sponge by Sonia, I was going to pay for it, but mother insisted. Then, my mom needed a new brush and China Glaze polishes were buy 2 get 1, and mom insisted again. Man, Mom knows best! LOL! We need to spend more quality time often.. PUAHAHA!

On Sunday, I felt 100x times better and so I went out to shop for my lil sis-in-law's gift. Her 9th birthday is coming up and I had to get everything to mail to Cali. After getting all her stuff, I managed to stop by Sephora to use my 15% coupon. I had to take advantage of it! How often does Sephora give coupons out? Since I sold my lovely painpots to the lovely DSK, Stephanie, I've been eyeing Benefit creaseless shadows. Plus, Megan, Haulinbroad, doesn't help! She keeps telling me that they are soo much better than paintpots! PUAHA! So I swatched and I wasn't in love with a lot of them, but I found two that I liked, which is all I need. There's no need to get the whole collection. I was going to settle for one, then I found this set and I was amazzeed!

Benefit's Girl's Night In includes: a brush, Birthday Suite Creaseless Cream Shadow, Skinny Jeans Creaseless Cream Shadow, Lady's Choice Lipstick, Magnets, and the cosmetic bag.

All that for $38 bucks! But since I had the coupon, it was only $32? or $33! Wee! Not bad at all considering that each creaseless cream shadow is $19 bucks each!

I loooovvee these shadows. And I'm seriously going to just stick to these, uhh well I'm eyeing ONE more, which is Strut! After that, I won't all crazy in getting all of them like I did with paint pots (sigh, I neglected them). I'm sooo in love with these shadows/base that I even did a EOTD! (Eye of the Day, My first one, it's a neutral one)

Depotting MAC Eyeshadows

Why hello my dears! I'm blogging from bed because I'm still sicko! I've been sick since Sunday. ERGH! I tried to go into work today, but got denied! They told me to rest again, so I'm finally going to the doctor today. Let's hope they give me some of the good stuff. I feel like I've been blowing my brains out!

So I know many of you beauty blogger out there already know how to depot MAC eyeshadows, but for my other readers that have no idea, I thought this might be somewhat helpful. Or, if you're just scared or nervous to do it, don't be! It's really easy. I depot all my MAC eyeshadows and even my first quad, because if it's not in a palette, I won't use it. Plus, it's easy to travel with!

For completing my NO HAUL CHALLENGE, the husby bought me 5 MAC e/s from CCO! I picked them out of course, but 4 of them are from the StarFlash collection. The orange one is from the Neo Sci collection, which is Time & Space, then clockwise, you'll see Mink & Sable, Go, Bold & Brazen, and Glamour Check. I looovee the payoff on these eyeshadows.

Ookay here's another pic of an empty palette (my 2nd one!) and the rest of the e/s and quad that I depotted. Thanks to Nat, I was able to depot my Spiced Chocolate quad! WOO! So it's no longer neglected.

Materials Needed to Depot: Wire cutters, knife, rubbing alcohol, magnets, paper towels, & of course, your palette.

There's plenty of tutorials on YouTube that show you how to depot. But this method is pretty easy considering that I didn't use any heat! The rubbing alcohol helps loosen up the glue. If you have any questions, feel free to send me an email at jenthejunkie@gmail.com.

The good thing about depotting, if you bring in 6 empty containers to a MAC counter, you get a free MAC lipstick! If you bring it to a MAC store, you can get a lipstick, lipgloss, or eyeshadow. Not bad eh? At least you're recycling!

Update, Revlon Review, Paint Pot Sale

M.I.A? Yeah, you can say that, I admit, I've been slacking on my blog. TSK TSK! But I'm getting back on and I should be blogging like a maniac. I have tons of review to do and share. Hope you guys haven't forgotten about me! Oookay, moving on, I'm FREE! I have completed my "NO HAUL" challenge! Yes, I didn't buy products or makeup for a whole month. I was really good and I'm very proud of myself. I was free on Tuesday, so did I turn into a purchasing maniac? Fortunatly... no! All I bought was some Paul Mitchell Skinny Serum which I missed dearly and I ordered Laneige Strawberry Peeling Gel online. That's it! Onto my reviews. Thank you Janet for spreading Revlon love all over the beauty blogger network. I'm hoping you've seen a boost in sales in your lashes and nails. It's been awhile since I've done a review, but I'm sticking to my OG style, (Impressives & Wompies!)

Revlon Fantasy Lashes
I'm a complete falsie noob! My MUA applied falsies on my wedding day and my pictures turned out sooooo good! So I always wanted to give lashes a shot. I bought a pair of Ardells and DUO glue, OMIGAH! It was a disaster. Eh? (My eyeball pic is pretty close up! Don't LAUGH! Hahaha, it's okay if you laugh, but I'm a newbie! So be easy on me!)

The Impressives
Self adhesive: Heaven sent! I didn't have a really hard time applying these lashes. I was very impressed! Me and glue do not mesh well, so self-adhesive is a plus for me!
Price: I believe these lashes run $4-$6 at drugstores, so I think that's a pretty good deal. Removal: It's very easy to remove these lashes. Just apply makeup remover and gently pull them off.
Contacts: Safe for contact wearers

The Wompies:
Uses: The box said you can get a couple of uses out of it, but I used it once and tossed it. They have extra self-adhesive strips, but I just didn't bother.

Revlon Nails
I have to be completely honest, I did have a difficult time with these nails. I tried it the first time, and like I said, me and glue do not work well together. My second attempt was much better!

The Impressives
Alternatives: Going to the nail salon frequently can bite your wallet, so these nails are an alternative.
Design: The designs are really cute! It's like the good ol' fashion french manicure with a little oomph. The designs are still natural looking, without looking too overbearing or flashy.

The Wompies
Glue and Bubbles: I hate glue! I tried not to put too much glue, but then I wanted to avoid bubbles. So basically, I couldn't win.
Contacts: I had gel nails professionally done in the past, and I never really had a hard time with daily activities. With these nails, I had a hard time taking of my contact lenses. I felt like I was going to stab myself with the plastic nail.

I'll wrap up this review by thanking Janet at Revlon for giving me the opportunity to review her products. It was very generous of her to send a package my way. I felt like a little girl when I opened her package. Thanks again, Janet!

On to another topic....

As I was going through my "NO HAUL" challenge, I started rummaging through my makeup. I came to a sad realization. I have plenty of paint pots, but I don't reach for them often. I mostly use Groundwork and Constructivist. So that leaves me with these. I have only used them 2-4 times and I used them with a brush. With other blogger girls having sales, I decided to throw these up for sale. If no one is interested in these, it's no biggie I'm sure I'll find some use for it, swap it, or give it to my cousin. LOL! If you're interested, leave me a comment. I might even throw some extras for you. Hehe! I'll invoice through PayPal only, (once I figure it out!).

No Haul Challenge Update

So! I've been doing pretty well with this "No Haul Challenge". I've had my moments, trust me! There's been times where my husby had to pull me from the MAC counter, then saying "No, I won't let you!" LOL! Oh geez, then I started to think, am I seriously crazy? My hardest challenge was at CCO, GAH! Since all the MAC is marked 30% off, I had to resist. I'm stupid for even going in there just cause it made it worst! I even had three e/s in my hand! They were sooo pretty all from the StarFlash collection (which means they're already discontinued!). But the husby gave me the evil eye and I had to put them back. Goodness! It broke my heart. April 7th, where are you!?!?

Oookay, now the reason why I've been doing pretty well is that I'm getting the lovely hookups left and right. Actually, instead of hookup, let's call it networking, plus it sounds more professional.

First off, thank you Janet at Revlon! She contacted me and sent me a box of falsies and nails for review. I noticed she contacted lots of other bloggers too, so I'm glad I was picked as well. I'm not a big falsie person, I tried once and failed miserably! But she sent me self-adhesive lashes! OH MAN! They are fool proof for me! A more detailed review will be coming soon...

Second, another thank you to my good friend, Kim. Kim works as Marketing Specialist in the beauty industry. She's also dating my brother.. Hahaha! But yes, she hooked me up with some lovely hair products. Don't you wonder why Bed Head packaging is sooo... umm.. explicit-like?! Anyways! Kim hooked me up with a liter of Prive (one of my fave shampoos that Kim introduced me to!) and Bed Head's Spoil Me! I looovvee Spoil Me! It's like an all in one type product.. Another review on this coming soon too!

And lastly, I received a lovely email for Karen at Juice Beauty! I was really excited about this one because I found one of my reviews on their website. I'm really excited for what Juice Beauty has in store for everyone. Thank you for contacting me, Karen! I'm looking forward to received my tinted moisturizer from Juice Beauty.

I know I haven't posted in awhile. I've been M.I.A., I was really just trying to spend as much time with the husby because he was supposed to leave for 2 months for work. Keyword, "supposed". Yes! We received news that the boat is no longer leaving! WOOHOOO! I'm seriously one lucky girl! So now I get smother him even more!

So, I wrote 10 random and honest facts about myself, I tried not to repeat myself from previous tag. Enjoy reading! I'll tag anyone who wants to do this. I've seen this float everywhere, so do it if you want to!

[1] I can be a loud drunk! Seriously, my brother and Patrick are always like "Oh MY GAH!" when that happens. I tend to talk a lot of shizz too, haha, like I'm not really scared to say anything just cause I think it's funny. I remember I was pretty lit from this one party, then this wanna be gangster dude was all heated from something. Then I started mocking him by trying to talk all deep and gangter-ish, and he was like "Who said that?!?! Bleh bleh!".. I laughed, while my friends/cousins hid their faces. HAHA! And another time, I saw an Lolo (filipino grandpa) at a local bar, and I asked my friend how to say "Go to bed" in Tagalog. Then I screamed it at him (not to his face! he was far away). Haha yeah, I consider myself a funny drunk, not a mean one...

[2] I love crunchy food! Me and my brother are the same when it comes to that. I put a lot of croutons on my salad, lots of granola in my frozen yogurt and cereal, fried chicken, crunchy tacos, rice crackers, lechon (lol!) .. uhh yeah, you get it!

[3] I take good care of my teeth. But when I'm done brushing, I brush my tongue until I gag! Weird, I know! But no one likes talking to someone with bad breath! And it all starts from the tongue!

[4] I hate feeling trapped! If the husby holds me to tight and doesn't give me enough space to move, I freak out! I can't even have covers over my head unless I stick my hand out.

[5] I "poot" (yes, fart) around my husby! LOL! He gets a kick out of it. I really could care less and I laugh about it too, we're married now! LOL!

[6] I refuse to fall under the stereotype of a fat navy wife! I better not let myself go. PUAHAH!

[7] I'm emotional. I cry A LOT! enough said..

[8] I'm not afraid to complain. Please don't give me sucky customer service or else I'm writing to corporate!

[9] I have a sweet tooth! The husby is always confused when I complain that I'm soooo full, but then want dessert. As my friend Kim would say, I have a seperate compartment in my stomach for sweets! OOOH yeah, I looovvee Strawberry Mentos! I'm so glad they come in their own roll! Now if only Skittles and Starbust would do that! All reds or pinks, please!

[10] I looovee puzzle games! Especially Tetris! Hahaha! If any of you know any free app puzzle games for the iPhone, let me knowwww.....

NO HAUL CHALLENGE UPDATE

I'm 5 days into my "NO HAUL Challenge" and so far so good! I'm feeling really good about it. If you have read my previous posts, you all should know that I have about 5 different shampoos and conditioners in my shower caddy (and I have a BIG shower caddy). I feel bad because all my products are in there and there's no room for the husby to put his stuff. He has to store it in a shower corner! So, this NO HAUL Challenge has definitely made me realize the importance of finishing products. TA DA! Last night, I finished one bottle of shampoo and conditioner (bye bye, Big Sexy Hair)... The remaning shampoos and conditioner I have left are (CIBU, Prive, Swarzkopf, and Paul Mitchell Tea Tree). I'm so proud! LOL! I also rekindled the love for my neglected products too! (Stay tuned, review coming soon). But I am feeling the pinch! The MAC Grand DUOS Collection came out! I wonder what they look like in person, but I'm not going near the counter. I might just lose it! So I'm staying clear of any temptation.. How are my challengees doing? I hope you ladies haven't broke it yet!

RAMBLING

So out of curiousity and living in a moment of boredom, I decided to google my name. LOL! (Please tell me I'm not the only one)! Then I googled "JenTheJunkie" then I found that my review was posted on Juice Beauty's website! WAH!?!? They never even told me, which I wish they would because I would have been excited about it! Kinda stinks that I had to find out on my own. But they posts blog reviews, media reviews, etc. Check it out here! Man, I wish they would have gave me products or something... *SIGH* Oh well...at least they sourced me.

No HAUL Challenge

Ookay, so I'm quite impressed with the lovely readers, family, and friends that decided to join me in this whole "No Haul" challenge.

I'm actually pretty excited about it, and no, I haven't started twitching yet! LOL! The last thing I bought was on Sephora.com on Friday because they were having a 15% off discount! I just stocked on two essentials, which was a facial cleanser and tinted moisturizer. I was running low, needed them! The NO HAUL CHALLENGE started on the 7th, and it's only the 9th! PUAHAH!

The whole point of this challenge is to save money for yourself and realize that you have an abundance of products (from my dear friend, Kerry, who put me up to this!). She seriously made me realize that I have a ton of products that I need to put to use. For example, I have tons of shampoo and conditioner, but I always get tempted to buy new ones. I have like 4-5 different kinds in my shower! My friend Kerry is quite the product junkie herself, but she hit a sad realization when she had to throw out trash bags worth or products because they were too old. That's money out right there!

I'm not a makeup artist, nor do I have plans on becoming one. I love my products to death, but I stick to Marketing/Communication/Events as my profession. So technically, there's really no need for me to have tons of products. I have an overflow of products now, and the husby can only take so much of all the space I've taken in the bathroom.

Now this doesn't mean I've completely giving up my "junkie" ways, I'm just going to cut back a bit. And for the next month, no hauling for me (except for that MAC event.. LOL!). I do have one thing in mind that I'm craving, but I will wait a whole month until I purchase it! It's the Laneige Strawberry Yogurt Peel. OH MAN!! Since I'm on a no product phase, I tried the sample that Janelle gave me (Thanks again!). WOW! My skin felt sooo good! With the weather changing all the time (We had snow last monday and then we had 70 degree weather over the weekend.. wtf?!), my skin was extremely dry and a bit flaky. Sounds gross, but a combination of dead skin and product started flaking off, which revealed a more healthier layer of skin underneath. I have two more samples left, so hopefully that'll last me till April 14th!

Enough about that. My husby came home on Saturday! He was in New Jersey for work, but during his downtime he was able to hit up Atlantic City. He played the Craps table and was pretty successful! YAYEE! I jokingly asked him what my cut was.. (What? I'm his wifey! LOL!).. PUAHAH! He also made a trip out to New York and I asked him to get me something neat! He was like "UH, something neat? What the?" LOL! I said "I dunno, just something small from NY!" So I assummed that I would get a t-shirt since he visited a skateshop there, like I said, I just wanted something NEAT! HAHA!

When he came home, he said he had something "neat" for me. Then he told me to close my eyes. I opened them, and there was a pretty brown box with red ribbon. TA DA! It's the wallet I looked at ONCE before! WOOO! It accents perfectly with my Madison bag (All leather, Espresso colored!). It's like looovvee! Haha, that's my cut from his winnings... WOO!

I'm so glad that he's home. Being a military wife is extremely difficult and it really makes you apppreciate all the little things. Like cooking for 2 instead of 1 (sooo depressing!), coming home to someone (especially after a bad/hard day at work), saying "good night"... I sound like a sap, but oh well.

GAH! I can't believe it's stinkin MONDAY already! UGH! Case of the Mondays...

Putting a HOLD!

Ookay, so one of my readers is my dear friend, Kerry. She's a good friend of mine that I used to work with until she moved to Hawaii (which by the way, I'm jealous!). Haha! Anyways, she's the one that told me that it was okay to spend money on skincare cause that's very important. Yes, Kerry, if you're reading, that stuck to me! Sooo, after chatting with her yesterday, she proposed a challenge! What's the challenge?

NO SPENDING MONEY ON PRODUCTS FOR ONE WHOLE MONTH! (effective 03.07.09)

I better get all the crap I need before then! LOL!

I can do it! I know I can! My other problem is that I told my friend Kim (MAC MUA) that I would attend her next event! Eeks, which is March 21st. Sooo, I need to make for it. The minimum spend at the event is $50, so I can stick to the minimum. Then as a consequence, I should extend the challenge for a week longer. I have to review this proposal with Kerry! LOL!

As the economy is spiraling down, it's important to save money. Although I've been saving, I could always save more. You never know what's going to happen.

Instead of buying products, I'll have to channel my hobby to something else. Perhaps, reading? I still have to finish "My Sister's Keeper" and I even joined the Twilight bandwagon and bought the hardback. I found it for only $11 bucks! I haven't cracked it open yet, but we'll see what all the hype is about.

This challenge is going to be tough! I know it is! What if I start twitching? LOL!

Dear Kerry, I accept your challenge dear. With the exemption of March 21st, I will not buy any products until April 14th! (I extended it!).

So what's the prize if I accomplish the challenge? I have no idea yet, me and Kerry haven't discussed this! LOL!

MAC Event!

My lovely friend Kim is a MAC MAU and invited me to her Hello Kitty event. I thought I'd give it a shot. I was a bit of an outsider, I wasn't really fancied by the HK collection. It's not like I craved the whole collection and stuff, but I did find some stuff that I really liked. I invited Janelle to come along and I'm glad she did! She was able to get color matched and have a little makeup makeover session! So here's a pic that Janelle snapped while Kim is making me pretty! LOL! I was hot and my face was all flush. LOL! I really hated this weather this past weekend. I bundled up in a coat and scarf and blah blah, then when I get in the mall, I'm all hot and stuff. BLEGH!

Kim is my fave MAC artist, I trust that woman! She did my wedding makeup, so when she recommends products, I'm like "SURE! OooKay!" EEKS!

Fast Response Eye Cream (sooo, this stuff is good to apply before putting on concealer! I I have a few fine lines underneath my baggy horrible eyes, so this helps the concealer from settling in any lines! GAH this is horrible, I'm getting old!)

I didn't get the gloss, cause unfortunately, after repeated use of a MAC gloss, my lips get really dry and dehyrdrated looking. I seriously think I'm allergic to MAC glosses! After I used Love Nectar, my lips were getting all dry and irritated. HMPH! Guess I'll just stick with Fresh's Lipgloss, they're not STICKY, and I LOVE THEM!

Anyways, well Sephora is having a 15% off discount online (use code: J89LM) . I'm sure you all have heard. I'm debating if I should stock on my essentials, like cleansers and tinted moisturizers. Hmmmm.....

The next MAC event should be later this month! It's actually a class this time, "How to transform day to night looks". ooOooOOH! Exciting eh?

I done did it! I'm been waiting to do this, so here we go, I chopped off 9 inches. It was supposed to be 8, but we had to do another inch above the elastic band. I've been wanting to do this. I wanted to do something selfless, so I donated my hair! I'll be mailing it to Pantene tomorrow. They work in cooperation with the American Cancer Society to make wigs for women with cancer.

I never had my hair this long. The main reason for growing it all out was for the wedding, umm yeah, the wedding was 6 months ago. So it was time to separate from it. Plus, I started to feel like my big hair was too overwhelming for my body. BTW, my hair isn't uneven, my head is just tilted in the photo.. LOL!)

It felt good when she chopped off the pony tail, shocking, but still good. I trusted Kim (hairstylist @ Bubbles), so I knew she would work wonders! And she did, my girl delivered! WEE!

Just me, cheesing hard! I'm proud of myself!

I'm debating if I should add subtle caramel highlights... Hmm.. Yay or nay?

After that, I decided to snoop around Sephora. I couldn't help it! Ever since I saw Tricia's blog on Fresh's High Noon (FreshFace Glow)... I've been eyeing it! I tried their lip gloss and I loveddd it too! It wasn't sticky! The coconut stuff is a deluxe sample... mMmM! Oh yeah, and I also requested a sample of Twilight Fresh Glow. OoOOH! Sorry for the "mirror" image pic, I took it from my webcam, I'm so lazy to upload photos with the SD card. OoOH! And the lady at Sephora complimented the hair, which made me feel better!

So long ... long haiiirr!! Although you were lovely, you frustrated me! You gave me an arm workout when it came to blow drying. Lastly, you were becoming overwhelming for my body. Bye bye long hair, may you make a lovely wig!

Weekend Recap

This was a gooooood weekend! It was very relaxing. Work has been absolutely hectic and I've been stressed to the brim.

Friday. I left work early and finished up my vday shopping. Afterwards, me and husby went to the parentals to catch up and have dinner. Then we watched, "He's Just Not That Into You." The movie was ookkay, I didn't think it was fab, it had it's parts (I'm not going to spoil, no worries).

Vday! Slept in (Thank goodness, I needed it.) Exchanged Valentine gifts with my man. I spoiled him with a card, chocolates, and MyVu glasses. What are MyVu glasses? Well, ever since Tricia's man, Ronnie got these, Patrick has been eyeing these. These are perfect for him, considering that he's in the Navy and they would keep him occupied while he's out at sea. Plus, he can watch movies in his bed on the boat with these babies on. So what'd he get me? A lovely card with a letter that made me cheese like a little kid, gift cards(Sephora and Macy's [there's no MAC gift card, so a Macy's gift card is good to use at MAC counters]), and my book light (LightWedge)! My booklight is amazing. He bought me one before, but ever since we saw his sister's, her's looked and worked soooo much better! It's absolutely nifty. So, I got those gift cards and the husby said, "We can go to the mall and you can pick out your stuff using the gift card!". I was surprised!! Oh gah! If you could only see his face when I shop for products, he doesn't complain, but the look he has in his eyes. I always feel bad looking around for stuff when he's with me!

After exchanging gifts, I made breakfast... mmmm! I love weekend breakfast, I have time to make pancakes, eggs, and all the good stuff! Don't worry, I wasn't corny and I didn't make heart shaped pancakes for my man! Then we got ready and headed over to the mall. I went to Sephora and I only picked out the one thing I had my eye on, which was a NARS palette. I know I said "no product shopping" for the next two weeks, but this was a gift, my dear! I tried to look around for other stuff, but I always feel overwhelemed at Sephora. I didn't buy any MAC using the the Macy's gift card, I'm saving it for the MAC event that my friend Kim is hosting.

Then! Off to our 1 hour massage! Oh goodness, I loooovvee getting massages. As I mentioned, work has been absolutely hectic, so I needed this. We got a full body massage and added hot stone. It was simply amazing! My massage therapist gave me the most wonderful scalp massage ever! Then when she got to my shoulders, that's when it started to hurt (but still feel good in a way). I had tons of knots on my back, especially near my shoulder blades. I should name it after my boss! HAHAH! So after the massage, she mentioned that she didnt mean to hurt me, but my knots were really bad, but I should feel a lot better now. After the massage, my nails were looking wreckless, so I got a manicure too!

Sunday. We ran errands and met up with my dear friend, Mar and her man, Christian. I'm glad I got to see her! It's been awhile! We met up at Skinny Dip (Yogurt Bar), mmmmm! One of my fave places to go!

Oooh yeah, so my Dermalogica exfoliating brush broke! That son of a gun cracked, so I had to get a new one. I picked up the Shiseido massaging brush, and it feels 10x better! Paired with my Fresh Soy Cleanser, my face is looking better and better.

Now it's back on the grind... womp womp. UGH! It's okay, it's Tuesday, and I can't wait till the weekend already, especially Saturday =).

Is it bad that I'm already looking forward to the weekend and it's only Tuesday?!?!?! MY GAH! Work has been hectic!

So anyways, this past weekend, I grabbed two things from Sephora while I picked up Patricia's birthday gift. I wasn't planning on getting anything, but whoever did the store layout for Sephora, whether it was marketing or merchandising, is one smart cookie. I always get tempted to grab something from those boxes when I wait in line! You know how when you wait in a line, there's all those boxes with travel size items and what not. I didn't find Urban Decay's Sin in the UD section, but while I was waiting in line, I saw one left in the bin! I grabbed it of course, along with Smith's Rosebud Minted Rose Lip Balm. I love this stuff! It sucks that it's in a tin for all those unhygienic reasons, but it really does moisturize my lips! For 6 bucks too, it's not bad at all and the tin is hugeee! But I really needed something like this for the cold season.

I finished reading The Confessions of a Shopaholic earlier in the week. It was pretty okay, I wouldn't rave about it though. But it was a fun easy read! I'd like to see how the movie and book compare. I'm probably going to pick up "My Sister's Keeper" next because Trish said it was really good and I believe a tearjerker too! The husby has been working crazy hours, so I need a hobby besides buying crap! I'm actually debating about reading Twilight. My friend Mar raves about it, so does, Janelle, Trish, and a bunch of others! Is it really that interesting? I dunno if I'm that interested in vampires in love... HAHA! Hmmm...GAH! And! I really need to start playing with that Bamboo tablet, I heard there are tutorials on YouTube too!

Soooo! I've come to a sad realization. I have wayyyy toooo many products. I'm running out of space! So I've decided, no product buying for the next two weeks! Then after the MAC event that my friend, Kim is doing, I'm going to put a hault on product hauling. It's time to save some money! Me and husby have been stirring up some BIG plans (think white sandy beaches, grass skirts, hibiscus flowers, leis, macademia nuts, get the hint?) for our one year wedding anniversary (in August!), so it's time to start saving!

OooKay, we'll I'm not feeling too hott. Miss Monthly Martha is trailing me for a visit... TMI? HAHAHA! I don't care! I need Peanut Butter M&Ms... quick!

It's been awhile!

It's been a little over a week since I've blogged. BLEGH! Oh well! It's been pretty crazy and busy at the same time. This past weekend, I went snowboarding with my husby, Trish, and Ronnie. The conditions were amazing! When we first got their, it was like powder. I ate it on my second run, but it didn't even hurt! Later on the day, I was getting of the ski lift and bam, we all collided into each other. It rarely happens, but this ski lift is sooo damn crowded. I fell hard on my right shoulder, my neck swung back and my head hit the ice. OUCHEE! I had to sit out, it hurt sooo much. On the way home, I could feel the neck pain. EH! Then the next morning, I felt like I was hit by a bus! I had that whiplash feeling. OH GAH! It was horrible. But now, I'm much better. Thank goodness for meds! PHEW! Moral of the story: BE CAREFUL WITH SKI LIFTS!

Oh yeah, a special thanks to Steph! I got my Lucido wax and the sweets! MMM! I got the volume wax and me likey!

Hmm, what else??? Oooh, so I'm ready to part with my long hair. Yes, that means CHOP CHOP! I grew my hair out for the wedding and it's never been this long. I've always had long hair, and the one time I cut it short (the husby, (bf at the time) said it was cute.. I wasn't aiming for CUTE =(. I visited the Locks of Love website and my heart goes out to all those little girls. Therefore, I've decided to donate my hair. I'm planning to cut 10 inches off to donate to Locks of Love. It's time to do something for others, besides, my hair grows pretty fast. Plus, if I cut 10 inches, I think my hair will go up to my collar bone (not bad eh?). Have any of you guys done this before? Some say the rule changed to 9 inches, and I even heard 8, but the website says 10... I'm confused?!?!

I'm excited to do it! I'm probably going to wait till the end of the month or mid month. I'm going to make an appt at the lovely Bubbles so they work some magic too! My hair is too beastly and it's getting overwhelming. I get so frustrated when I blow dry it cause it takes too long, and I even have a CHI blow dryer.

Update: I kept reading about Locks of Love and I'm a tad bit confused. I read that it is not recognized as Better Business Bureau as a reputable charitable organization. EEKS! And I even read rumors that they sell their hair??? ERR! I need to do more research.... I think I'm leaning towards Pantene: Beautiful Lengths, they work in partnership with the American Cancer Society. Wigs will go out to women with cancer.

Valentine's Day is coming up! OH GOODNESS! What do you guys have planned? Me and the husby are going to get massages (courtesy of Trish's Christmas gifts to us) that day. YAYEE! I need some relaxation. AND we have dinner plans at a nice steakhouse! I tried to get reservations at Ruth Chris's but the earliest was 10:30pm and I called on Monday. So if you guys need to make dinner reservations, I suggest doing them right now!

Products... again...eeks!

On Friday, I had one of those "me" afternoons. I was able to get off work early because it was my 2 year anniversary there. Since the husby was at work, I was able to run around and score products. WEEE! I tried to look for clothes, but nothing fancied me, BUMMER! Oh well! Anyways, I went to Sephora, ULTA, and MAC. At Sephora, I returned that whackass Clinique Take a Day Off Cleansing Milk and exchanged it for Fresh Soy Face Cleanser. Might I add, I LOOOVVEE this cleanser. It's simply amazing! I highly recommend it for dry-sensitive skin, you can try the smaller size for $15, if you'd like. I also got Clinique's brush cleaner since I ran out.

At MAC, I only planned on getting the 226 brush, but the MAC artist convinced me to grab one more thing. GAH! So he sold me on a Shadestick in Shimmersand. He was like, "Oh Honey! Do you know about our HK event?"... I told him I was attending the other MAC counter's event because my friend is the manager. Then I told him I wasn't that excited for the HK collection. I think the Blonde, Brunette, and Redhead collection is better because they have new brushes, new MSFs and stuff. The HK collection looks alright, but it doesn't get me all amped. By the way, I loooovvee the 226 brush! Oh man, it's perfect for my eyes. I don't consider myself having "asian eyes" because they're pretty round and big, but I just don't have a deep crease, so this brush is perfect for my eyes. I want another one! It's limited edition =(, I have to get another before they are long gone.

At ULTA, I wanted to use my 20% off everything coupon. So I got some NADS wax. Haha, I have no shame. I love these wax strips, they are soo gentle on my skin. My sis-in-law doesn't like it, so I'm not sure if I'd recommend it. I mean, it does the job and the more you wax, the slower the hair grows. So it's totally up to you if you want to try it. Lastly, I scored MAX Factor's 2000 Calorie Mascara (they used this a lot in the BLUSH episodes). I like it! I actually think it's better than some high end mascaras I've tried. My MUFE Smoky Lash is clumping on me =(, so I'm reaching for my MAX factor mascara more. Plus, it's not clumpy and you don't even need a brush to comb out the lashes.

Fresh Soy Face Cleanser Review

Oookay, so I was hoping to do my big wavy hair tutorial, but I'll just put it off till my next post. Actually, I'm still debating if I should do it! Here's a pic of my big hair, interested in achieving?

Anyways, so as I was shopping for my dear friend Kim's birthday gift (I bought her NARS Deep Throat Blush and a VS duffle bag), I managed to snag something for myself. Just a little thing! I wanted to try Fresh's Soy Face Cleanser. I wasn't ready to fork out $38 bucks on a full size, so travel size will do for me.

"Soy Face Cleanser, Fresh's most popular cleanser for all skin types, is an extra gentle, fragrance-free, multi-tasking gel formula that instantly whisks away every day impurities, removes makeup, and is safe to use on the eye area. Safe for use on the eyes, it's face maintenance made easy. Plus, it's soap free and will never leave behind a film or residue." - from Sephora.com

The Impressives:

• Soap-free. This is plus for me because soap usually leaves a film-like feeling on the face. Plus, soap-free products are good for sensitive skin!

• Smell. Smells like fresh cut cucumber! I like it. The more natural smelling it is, the less I feel like I'm putting a bunch of irritants on my face.

• Toner. It acts like a toner too! So, I'm able to skip the toner step. WEE!

• Smooth. After rinsing, my face feels clean and smooth! Not tight, like other removers I've used.

• Skip a step. I feel like I've tried every combination of skincare/makeup remover that I've had. For awhile I used Clinique Cleansing Balm, then followed with Juice Beauty Cleansing Milk. When I finished the Balm, I started using Mandom Cleansing Moist, then followed with Juice Beauty Cleansing Milk. Then, I decided to stop Mandom for awhile, and try Clinique Cleansing Milk (This is horrible stuff! I used it twice and now I'm going to return it and get a full size Fresh) then Juice Beauty Cleansing Milk. OH GAH! And this was all over a few months span. I was tired of using a full face makeup remover, then following up with a cleanser. I wanted an all in one! So, I use Fresh to cleanse the face and remove the makeup. Now, I'm using Mandom on just the eyes only, then Fresh all over. So far I'm loving it!

• Travel-Friendly. It's in a tube! Woo! I always get nervous when I have pump cleanser, cause they just might spill everywhere. Plus it's hygienic.

The Wompies:

• Price. GAH! $38 for a facial cleanser. I guess it isn't too bad, because I used to buy a full on makeup remover, then a facial cleanser. STILL!

• Foaming. It says its a foamy cleanser, but it's more milky then foamy.

As for any latest hauls, hmm, not so much! I definitely took advantage of the cosmetic settlement and was able to score a bunch of Clinique Moisture Surges (I love this stuff! I had used it before, but I think it's a good summertime moisturizer than winter, but you can use it as a mask!) and one night serum thingy. No perfume, BUMMER! I really wanted the Coco Chanel Mademoiselle lotion to match my perfume, but they didn't have any! GAH! Oh yeah! I did get the Strawberry Scrub by Mario Badescu. It's only $15 bucks and it's a huge tub. I loved the sample so much, I had to get a full size. Plus, it's good to exfoliate the face two times a week. It's pink and you can actually see the strawberry seeds (hard to see cause of the webcam)

I'm halfway through "Confessions of a Shopaholic" so far soo good! I should be done by next week? Maybe. I get soo busy sometimes, I don't have time to read. BLEGH!

Hmm, what else? Oh yeah, I'm getting off work early tomorrow! WOOO! A half day for me because it's my two year anniv. at work! Haha, I'm a geek for being excited. So hmmm, what am I doing to do? Whatever the crap I want to do! I'm just going to have some "ME" time! Yes, that means going to Sephora to return that bloody Clinique Cleansing Milk because it sucks so much and a trip to MAC. I only have one thing in mind to get! And that's the 226 brush! It looks lovely....Anyone tried it?

You know what I'm bummed about? I got a Bamboo tablet as a Christmas gift, and I haven't had the time to sit down and watch the tutorials! I installed all the software on my MAC. I need to get on it... *SIGH*

AND! Another snowboarding trip on the 31st! WOOOO!

Rambling and MAC

So I have a long list of movies to watch with the husby. He doesn't mind, he's quite the movie go-er himself. We watched "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" last Friday night. The movie was ammmaazzinngg! I loved it! I found out it was three hours long and I was bit worried that my mind would wander, or I might pass out in the theaters (I'm a grandma! It was a late night show), but luckily I didn't. I was fully absorbed. No worries, I won't write about any movie spoilers, but this movie made me realize a lot of things. Things that I want to add to my to-do list.

While Patrick was driving home, I told him, "I want to watch the sunrise one day! Let's wake up early one day and head somewhere with a nice view!" (Like we would ever wake up early enough!)... His response back was "Hahaha okay, why all of a sudden, you're trying to be like Benjamin Button!".. DANGIT! LOL! He caught me! Earlier that day, we were all hanging out with my brother and Kim, and I mentioned and how much I regretted not keeping a journal. It would have been nice to look back on my adolescent days to see how much I've grown, and even how naive I was. Man, I wish I kept a journal. Should I even start now? I'm approaching my mid 20s, but there's no way I could write in it everyday. Nothing exciting happens everyday in my life! I get up, I work, I go home, I cook, blegh blegh blegh....but the best part of the day is winding down with Patrick. I mean, I could write it when something exciting happens, right?

Okay, so I don't keep a journal nor a record. But! Me and Patrick had something to pull out and look back on when we got home. You know when you go through that dating phase, and you celebrate each month? LOL! Yeah, we'll call me corny or whatever, but we did that. The first month, Patrick gave me a card with a long letter inside. I told him that I loved getting cards, especially if it had a letter inside. So for every month, he continued to give me a card! I've kept them all! So we pulled out that box and I read through the 1st card. It was crazy! He called me, "Jen", which never happens now. He even mentioned that he saw us being together for a long time. Who would have though that 3 1/2 years later, he'd be my husband! Then Patrick pulled out an envelope, which had all our movie stubs and first time stuff. Matches from the restaurant we had our first date, the ski lift ticket when we went snowboarding for the first time together, first piece of jewelry given, etc. I love how we kept this stuff! Hopefully we'll have it to show to our children when they are old enough! Or even just looking back on how it all started...
Sorry, I know this was a lovey dovey mushy mushy post. LOL! BUT! I need to get back on track with this blog, I've been slacking! So this is me playing catch up...

As for MAC purchases, I took advantage of that MAC sale. MAC never has a sale! Since I just bought a blush palette in the beginning of the month, I only filled up three spots. I never really was a blush person until now, it really adds a nice glow to your face, just don't overdue it and look like a clown! So, I ended up buying three more to fill it up! Sunbasque, Plum Foolery, and Secret Blush (Beauty Powder Blush), brow set in ShowOff, and Verdigris eyeshadow. I ended up depotting these the other night, and let me warn you, depotting these blushes were a pain! I depotted Emote and Gingerly before, and it didn't seem that hard. But this time, I was struggling. I cut myself, EEKS! But it was just a small cut. BLEGH! Oh yeah, and because the formula is different for the beauty powder blush than the reg. blush, I cracked mine a little bit on the edges. DANGIT! But all in all, everything is removed and placed in the palette. The good thing, I have all my black MAC containers and I'm ready to Back 2 MAC and get some freebies for recycling! WOO!

Enough about that! The reason why I've been lacking on my posts is because I'm just plain lazy! I rather read the books that I got instead, too! That's right! I finally got some books! I'm not an avid reader like Patricia, or Janelle. I alway considered reading as a task, from college! And of course, I was traumatized with books I didn't like reading (except for Memoirs of a Geisha). But finally, I realized that I should pick up reading and read whatever I want to read. Reading is fundamental! LOL! So here are the two books I got!

So far, I'm loving "Confessions of a Shopaholic", I wanted to read this because the movie comes out in February and I really like to see how they compare. Plus, being the junkie and shopper that I am, makes it an even better read. Plus, everyone that read the series seems to like it. Then! I got this Bobbie Brown Makeup Manual because it was 20% off! I know everyone blogged about that COSMO Beauty Book, but I like this one! There's a lot of pictures to explain application with different face shapes, eye shape, skin, etc. It also has chapters on skincare and bodycare. The good thing is that the book isn't all about Bobbi Brown cosmetics, thank goodness, cause I don't own any of her stuff (yet!). =)

OH OH! And one more thing! When I hung out with Beth on Sunday, I was able to get this at Bed, Bath, & Beyond! It's a purse hook! WOOOO! I'll never have to put my purse on a chair, on my lap, or on the floor (which I wouldn't ever do!)! Call me a weirdo, but I LOOOOVVEE IT! Perfect for restuarants, bars, etc...The first time I saw this, a lady had it at Panera, and I was in complete shock! I was impolite and I stared.. SO WHAT!

Oookay, that's it for now! I know I need to keep up with this thing. I still have to write about...

Bombshell Beauty contacted me and sent me free hair products. Basically, it's like that Hair Bumpit thing you see on tv. I haven't tested it out but I will, and I'll do a review soon.
CIBU products. I always rave about CIBU stuff. I LOOOVVEE IT! It smells sooo good and PHO FINISH is absolutely amazing. It's the best hairspray that hold your hairstyle without stiffening it up!
Hair. I'm getting frustrated with my hair. This is the longest I've ever had it! I'm about to cut it soon, I think? If I don't chicken out! I really like Jennifer Aniston's hair in this photo... please don't mind the buttshot. HMM! If I decide to do it, I'll head over to the lovely Bubbles at Lynnhaven! Ladies, get your hair done at a Bubbles or Salon Cielo! The stylists are amazingggg! Plus you can get CIBU products while you're there!

Ringing in 2009 with a BANG!

Our mini vacay to NoVa was simply amazing! I could go on and babble and babble about everything that went on, but I'd run you around in circles. So, I'll break this post up in topics, so I can stay focused too...

Tuesday Night. We arrived at my brother's house in NoVa that night. Thinking, that we were just unwinding with a glass of wine turned into downing a few bottles. EEEKS! The girls were drunk as a skunk and the guy sat back and laughed... Then! When we dropped our luggage in the guest room, I noticed a post it with my name on it! The fabulous Kimmy left me some PRIVE Products!! WOOOO! I was stoked! Prive smells soooo good!!!

New Year's Eve. Off to our snowboarding adventure. It's too bad my sick butt got car sick. BLEGH! What's wrong with me??? I need to start carrying Dramamine in my purse. Then finally, we packed on the gear and hit the slopes. We knew the guys had a plan to ditch the girls since they are a tad advanced (*wink), so as soon as we got to the lift, they said "Oookay, guys on this and girls on the next" DAMMMIT! We all had our hearts racing while we were on the lift. I wanted to impress the husby and make sure I didn't fall. SUCCESS! =) He was proud... After snowboarding, we were supposed to meet up with my fam, but we were all too lazy! The night ended with a good ass steak dinner, Kings, and drunken Taboo. Uhhh, we definitely got our 2nd win. Oh yeah, women are much better communicators than men, it's was proven with a game of taboo. Guys got their asses spanked!

New Year's Day. Loafed all day in sweats!! Slept till like 1pm. Laid around. Took this picture.Tickle contest (don't ask). Dinner at Coastal Flats. YUM YUM!

Friday. The girls were too sore to board again, so the guys took another trip. My tailbone was still sore so I wasn't trying to risk it either. So instead, I had some quality time with my sis-in-law, Patricia. During our trip we drooled at Chanel purses, MAC (Haul: Gilded Ash eyeshadow, Blush palette, Trace Gold Blush), Lush, Panda Express, TangySweet, Georgetown Cupcake. Don't judge us! Just because we hit up a lot of food places, doesn't mean we're fatties!! LOL! (Oh yeah! I depotted my blushes to fit in my palette! I was skurred as crap to crack/break it, but I done did it! Even EMOTE!)

Oh! And Kim was so kind to show our (me and Trish's) blogs to the project manager at CIBU. There were kind enough to give us CIBU bags from New York's Fashion Week - Christian Siriano Show. WOOOO! It has my holy grail hairspray, PHO FINISH along with some extra goodies. Keep an eye out for a review! Thank you, KIM! AND! Thank you CIBU project manager!!

Saturday. Caught up with the fam. Frozen Yogurt at IceBerry (I like IceBerry better than TangySweet, they are not stingy with toppings! BUT! I still love the local Skinny Dip!!) and back to the beach. Our mini vacay was ovvveerrr!! NooOOOO!

Okay, I'll catch up with this bloggy thing later. I'm too tired. This whole "full" work week isn't working for me. I'm exhuasted and it's only Wednesday tomorrow... GAH!

2008 was the most promising year by far for me personally. I've been blessed throughout 2008 and I hope that God will continue to bless me and my family with the blissful years to come. The year started out amazing, just take a look for yourself...

engaged. The husby proposed on 01.18.08! It was amazing! I seriously had no idea what he had planned up his sleeve that day. It seems like it was yesterday, dinner at the sushi restuarant where we had our first date, and then going back to his place and seeing a trail of flower petals on the ground. OH GAH! I cried my eyeballs out like a baby! Oh yeah, and my ring is simply gorgeous! PUAHAH! Had to brag! LOL!

wii. Sometime in January, z104 (local radio station) busted in my office at work and delivered my WII! I won a contest! WOOO! I was nervous as heck! HAHA! It didn't help that I had to hold the mic and say "Hi, I'm Jen and thanks to z104, I just won a WIII!!" LOL! I totally geeked out.

rekindled. As you get older, you realize that the petty drama you had years ago wasn't worth losing a friendship. Luckily, I rekindled the friendship with my high school friend and we smashed the drama. This is when you start to realize that you're not getting any younger and there are far more things to worry about than petty drama.

snowboarding. As winter season ends, it's time to hit the slopes just one more time! I took this shot of the husby!! WOOO! Look at him gooo, sooo hott! LOL!

engagement party and bridal gown shopping. My parents threw an engagement party for me and Patrick while his parents were in town from California. It was lovely! Oh and bridal gown shopping felt super fun! Haha, I won't forget the time I was shopping with my girls in NOVA and I tried this beautiful gown on. Then, I asked how much, she said "It's only $3,900.. GAH! Okay, let's take this off now! But alas, I found the dress of my dreams! Come to find out later, it was on the cover of BRIDE this year.

80s. HAHA! This pic is one of my favs! This is all of us getting ready to head out to the LegWarmers concert in NoVA! It's a strictly 80s concert and you have to dress the part. It was tons of fun! It took forever for me to crimp my hair but I done did it! My hair was straight up flammable! I was scared whenever someone lit a lighter during a song! OH GAH! That would have been bad!

miami. Oh GOODNESS! What can I say that won't get me in trouble? Hahaha, KIDDING! The husby had his bachelor party in Vegas and me and my girls headed to Miami for 4th of July weekend! Our hotel was loveeellyy! Free Happy Hour drinks! OH MAN! Our flight back home was at 6am, umm yeah not a pretty site. I was still drunk when I checked in with the flight attendant. LOL! My cousin was hungover... PUAHAH!

bridal shower. This is when wedding plans were coming down to the wire. But my mother and my good friend, Mar are sooo good to me, they threw a beautiful bridal shower for me.

wedding. I was absorbed in wedding plans for 2008! People say it takes a year to plan a wedding, well I did it in 7 months! It's possible, you'll just be stressed to your jugular! But in the end, it's all worth it. The wedding was gorgeous and my husby is soooo handsome. We exchanged vows while I cryed my eyes out AGAIN! Most of his family flew from California and my maid of honor, Morrissa flew from Florida. Everything was perfect on that day!

honeymoon. After all the stress, it was nice for me and husby to get away. While we had cruise plans to go to Cozumel, Mexico, hurricane plans changed the route. We ended up in the Bahamas. But it was still a beautiful site!

pounds. because this was the "wedding" year, I've lost 8-9 lbs!! So far, I've only gained a pound or two extra... But I'm hoping to maintain it! EEKS! My aunties have no shame when it comes to talking about weight. They have no shame to tell me "you've gained weight, eh?" OR! "look you're soo skinny now, you used to be chubby!" OH GAH!

townhome. Me and husby picked out a townhome for us to live in. It's beautiful! I had sooo much fun decorating. I looovvee interior design. So I had fun picking out furniture, window curtains, kitchen table, etc.

In 2008, it was promising for my personal life. As for 2009, I'm hoping that it will be promising for my professional/career development. Let's hope 2009 has a lot in store for me! As for posting, this is me signing off my last post for 2008. I'll check back in 2009! WOO! As for ringing in the New Year, I'll be spending time with loved ones on the slopes then partying it up wth the fam in NoVa.

Lovely Christmas....

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas! As for me, it was me and the husby's first Christmas as a married couple. It was definitely a moment to cherish. We opened gifts on Christmas morning and I was so excited for him to open his gift! I was able to snag a huge box from work, so I basically wrapped his gifts within other gifts. Hehe! He had the "WTF?" look each time he opened a gift and then found another gift in it. But he loved his gifts, and that's what mattered anyways. As for me, he brought down a huge box and it was my turn. I ripped the paper and found a Coach box. Right away, "Awww, you better not have just used the box to wrap my present!" But then, when I saw the white dust bag, I immediately ran over and tackled him with hugs and kisses. Then he told me to open the dust bag, and there it was! The chocolate brown Madison Coach bag! It was like the heaven's trumpet sounded, "AWWWW!" LOL! I amazed! I told the husby it was too expensive, but he told me not to worry at all. I LOOOVVEEE IT! He also snagged a NARS lipgloss for me and the UD Velvet Rope eyeliner set. YAYEE!!!

Then afterwards, we headed over to the parentals for some good family time! It was nice to spend time with our familia. We ate, we laugh, we drank... it was purely lovely! AH!! And more gifts... might I add, I was "nice" this year! PUAHAH! Eh, it would take forever to write who gave what, but they all know who they are. THANK YOU AGAIN for the gifts below, if you're reading, I LOOVVEEE YOU GGUUYYSS!

The fam alway tease Patrick and say he resembles Manny Pacquiao, puahah I don't see it! But then, when Patricia's man was in the photo, one auntie said "PACQUIAO vs. HATTON" (That's the next fight that should be coming!). PUAHAH! The guys are crazy!

Okay, as for post Christmas, courtesy of the gift of a Macy's gift card, I was able to snag two things. The 217 brush which I've been lemming and the MAC Penultimate liner. Has anyone tried this liner? Thoughts? Better than fluidline?? Let me know! Thanks, dear!

Enough about haulage, let's talk about brush cleaning. It's very important to keep your brushes sanitary.

You don't want that bacteria and gunk building up. Sooo, I just have to say that my sis-in-law, Patricia is one smart cookie! She recommended the Loen Cornell brush cleaner, so I snagged it while I bought Christmas ornaments a few weeks ago. I finally put that bad boy to use last night. It was loovveeellly!! It cleaned my brushes soooo fast! What I did was put my Clinique brush cleaner a little above the first line, then filled it up with water to the second line. Then swivel, swivel! Then removed the brushes and run it under warm water. Thanks, Trish! I totally recommend it! You can buy this at your local craftstore, I bought mine at Michaels. It's only 5-6 bucks, I believe.

Merry Christmas to ME??

I'm treating myself, I deserve it! PUAHAH! Plus, I'm done Christmas shopping and work has been a bit crazy. Oookay, so on Friday afternoon, I received my MAC package. Can I just say how good of a deal this is? First of all, let's start with the Charming Garnet set. It includes Belightful powder, Bare Slimshine, 181 brush, travel size Zoomlash, and travel size black liner (I forgot the name). The black liner was not supposed to be in there, at least it wasn't included in the set. So a nice freebie for me, wooO! The set was only $30, and the powder is worth $21, slimshine is $14.50, and the brush is $30! So, I couldn't pass it up! The liners are okay, I mean for the price, it's not to shabby! I had MAC withdrawal, I haven't purchased MAC since the beginning of November! I was overdue! I started twitching.. no not really just kidding!

Next, you all know I've been on the prowl for a tinted moisturizer. So I was able to drag the husby to MacArthur mall. I met the MUA for Laura Mercier and she was super nice! She color matched me, and complimented my eye makeup! I love that! PUAHHA, anyways, my color is Fawn. My first impression of this stuff is that I'm simply amazed! I applied this with my 109 and I achieved that dewy, glowy look with an even complexion. Let see how it works for the rest of the week, I've only used it twice and my face is loving it! I also snagged some goodies at Bath and Body Works. I'm not too fond on the lotion because I have such sensitive skin. But I wanted to get that C.O. Bigelow Body Buffer! I looove the lip exfoliator by C.O. Bigelow so I can only imagine how it'll feel all over the body! I'm going to try to convince the husby to use it, PUAHAHHAH! Oh yeah, I also snagged peppermint and spearmint oil! One is Stress Relief and the other is Headache Relief. I've been getting a lot of headaches, and taking meds all the time isn't good for the bod, so I decided to get my own peppermint oil to rub on my temples. My mom got me into this. She rubbed peppermint oil on my temples when I used to get headaches. Oh and those lip products, $3 bucks each! Not bad eh? When I was taking this picture, the husby tried to put those Wallflower air fresheners from Bath and Body Works in this pic! LOL! He was like, "It's part of your haul?!" ... ummm no! HAHA, love that he makes me laugh.

Last but not least! You've heard me complain about my dry skin. I love my Clinique Moisture Surge, but I feel like I need a little more. So since I'm almost out, I decided to switch over to Hope in a Jar for Dry, Sensitive Skin. Let's hope it lives to the hype that my sis-in-law raves about me. I just tried it a few minutes ago, and my face still feels a little sticky... EEKS! Did I put too much?

Oh, and a big thank you to Steph! I got my MAC Emote Blush! It looks like it'll be perfect for contouring! And, thanks for the pigment! I'm sooo excited to try this! Thanks for your lovely card too!

UPDATE: OOps! I totally forgot to mention my new threads! Geez, can I just mention that there was a buttload of sales at the mall? I got a new cream peacoat @ Nordstroms for only 40 bucks! Jeans were buy one get one free @ Pacsun! Wooo! I got me some new skinnies! Hmm.. and some sweaters here and there.

Help? Tinted Moisturizer?

The other day, after applying my MAC Mineralized Loose, I noticed that I was looking a bit bronzier than I usually am. It's that darn winter skin! BLEGH! My face is more dry and I'm losing that summer glow. Bummer! So, even though I'm dry and sensitive, I've been lucky with the breakout scene. I don't need heavy coverage, so I'm looking for light coverage, more like a tinted moisturizer. Just to even out the skintone. So here's the deal, I've been talking to Patricia about getting Armani Face Fabric, but being that the closest place that carries it is an hour away turns me off. I can't just order it online, cause I need someone to color match me.

I'm eyeing two products. I'm a nerd. I like to read makeup reviews (screenshot stats from MakeupAlley)! I like to see what everyone has to say:

As for hauls, they have been put on the back burner. Wait, actually, I'm just waiting for them to come in the mail! I can't wait for my MAC exclusive Charming Garnet set. OooOh, I'm almost out of my Bare Slimshine, so a refill of that would be very nice. Oh and thanks to the lovely Stephanie, for mailing MAC's Emote Blush. WOOoO! Lovely discount, my dear! Haha! I can't wait to get it in the mail! I want a blush palette now, (random, I know!)

I have been getting in touch with my inner crafty self this past week. We got a real Christmas tree (my first REAL tree!) over the weekend, and the bows I made are quite lovely! I also personalized stockings for me and husby. It's starting to feel like Christmas! YAY!! Oh and I have to make a pumpkin roll for work tomorrow. MmM! Heffer Delight!

If Jen Can Cook, So Can You!

LOL! I'm not going to lie, I was spoiled! Before I got married, I always had home cooked meals from my mama. I wasn't home much, since I was spending time with the bf at the time, so I failed to watch her. Now, I've noticed myself submerged in my mom's culinary skills. I always watch her when I come over. I call her while I'm cooking and I ask for tips!

When we were engaged, I realized I had to buckle down on the culinary skills. So, I started little things here and there. Now, my cooking skills have improved to the tee! I still have plenty to learn, so if any of you cooking mamas out there have some recipes to share, please do! As for Sunday night, I decided to make sushi. Everytime me and the husby go out for sushi, we always stare at it and realize that we can make it at home! I'm allergic to fish, which totally sucks, because I would love to make some fish sushi. DAMMIT! Anyways, I made shrimp tempura rolls for me and the husby. My rolls had shrimp tempura, mango (the resturant we go to puts mangos in the sushi we order, sooo good!), and cucumber slivers.

I was amazed! It was very easy to make, but it was pretty time consuming! Not bad for my first time, eh? Me and Husby enjoyed our sushi rolls! dYUM! Then, food coma... BLEGH!

I'm so amazed, because it hates going there with me. You should see his face, it's that "Poor guy!" look. HAHA! Sooo! I hopped on the computer and placed an order for these two babies! WOO! sixteen. undercover nerd. PUAHAH! I'm dead serious, I'm one of the biggest nerds. Undercover? Cause I mask it well! I'm practically legally blind. If any of you guys wear contacts, well umm, I'm a -7.00! Say WAH!??! I know! My glasses are mad thick! But thanks to my lovely hookup @ Lenscrafters, I have pretty Pradas to hide the thickness of the lenses (I want LASIK!). I have eczema and it stinks, but it's not terribly bad! My allergies are horrible, and well, I have tons of prescription medicines. EEKS! NERD, I tell ya! PUAHA! And to top it, I have asthma. But it hasn't been that bad compared to when I was a kid. OoOh and to top it off, I was in the orchestra till the end of high school. I played the violin... PUAHAHHA!

fifteen. 10 jobs. from age 16-24. Professional Ice Cream Server..LOL! Bakers Shoes, Barista at Starbucks, Aldos Shoes, Sunglass Hut, Map Communications, Reservationist for Spirit Cruises, Marketing/Promo for Red Bull (one of my fave jobs! I love me some Red Bull SF), and now a Marketing Ass, I mean Assistant and Event Coordinator.

fourteen. puppy. I really want a puppy! I never grew up with a dog! The husby wants one too but our condo community won't allow us, BLAGH! They can suck it....One day.. one day...

thirteen. east coast. I've been stuck in Virginia Beach my whole life! I'm desperately wanting a change. We're going to try to get stationed in California come 2010. The husby is from Cali and I know he really wants to go back. I also have a feeling I'm going to land my dream job there. P.S. We also need to travel more often.

twelve. career. As of now, I'm working in the field I earned my degree in, which is a good feeling. But, I can't say I love it. I'm blessed though because I have a good job (and an office!) in this tough economy. However, it would be my dream job to work in hair/cosmetic industry doing marketing, planning, merchandising, anything! Just something I would be compassionate about!

eleven. cold bed sheets. PUAHAH! I loooovvee cold bed sheets. I hate getting into a warm bed. The husby always teases me by saying he's going to warm up my side. GAH! I love cold pillows!

ten. sports. I'm the least athletic! I don't work out, which I should cause I would probably last longer on the slopes. However, I do snowboard! I'm far from a pro, and I'm still learning how to carve. Let's hope I can get that down pat by the end of the season. I used to rock climb, especially when I worked at Red Bull cause we had that hookup. I even got my certification to belay! But I slacked... DAMMIT!

nine. teeth. I have a thing for teeth. My theory, bad teeth = bad smile. Sounds vain as hell, but it really isn't! I like to keep the pearly whites fresh along with dentist visits. I love my Sonicare toothbrush and Crest Whitening Strips.

eight. accessorize. I really don't accessorize in terms of jewelry. I like my basics! Especially the meaningful ones, which basically means that most of them came from my husby. I love my T&Co necklace (it doesn't scream that it's from T&Co., that's why I like it! Not like those charms!). Watches! I loveee watches. And! My lovely wedding band and engagement ring. I really should wear earrings more often. As terms of accessories in purses, then GAH! I love my purses, ALL OF THEM! and I crave more...=)

seven. big hair don't care. I used to flat iron my hair religiously. BAD BAD BAD! But now, I've grown to love full voluminous hair. I'm a pro with my hot rollers! Even though I look like a grandma! (I plan on doing a blog entry on BIG full waves!)

six. ice cream & frozen yogurt. I looooovveee ice cream! Especially frozen yogurt. I could binge on this stuff. LOL! That's all...

five. planner. I'm a planner. It's bad, cause I wish I could be more spontaneous. But it's too hard. I like knowing how things are going to play out. As for my wedding, I had to make sure I planned everything to the tee! Good thing I had my trusty wedding planner and best friend, Marinel to help me out!

four. swimming. I took lessons in 4th grade, but then I forgot! LOL! How do you forget? I dunno, I just did! My friend, Kerry tried to teach me. But I was a pain in the ass. BUT! I learned that while I was on a booz cruise with my husby in the Bahamas (honeymoon), I proved to him that I could swim while I was drunk! Thank goodness for jungle juice, you've taught me how to swim.

three. saved by the bell. GAH! I grew up on this show! PUAHAH! I'm sure you guys can remember, "The Sprain" ..."Kelly and Screech?"... "I'm sooo excited.. I'm sooo scared"... "Friends Forever".."Buddy Bands" .."There's no hope in dope!" GAH! I could go on and on! Me and my brother try to stump each other on Saved by the Bell episodes.

two. allergies. I'm allergic to fish! GAH! It sucks. I only eat shrimp sushi. But when I see the husby or a friend eat salmon, I just want to snag a bite! LOL! But I would end up regretting it in the hospital. Man, I wish I could eat tuna too! Well actually, Janelle is allergic to fish too, and she eats tuna. I'll be testing tuna this weekend! Wish me luck! *SIGH* I'm allergic to cats too, but they just scare me!

one. family. I love my family to pieces, and now I have an extended family since I'm married. But, I can go to my parents about almost anything. My brother is my confidant too! (along with my husby), but he always gives good brotherly advice. My sis in law, Patricia adds fuel to my junkie drive. I've never had a sister, so it's nice to finally have one, actually 2! Can't forget the little one! GAH! Ready for some surprising news? Me and husby plan on starting our own family in 2 years or at the next duty station. Being a military wife is going to have its sacrifices, but when they come back and you have moments like these. It's definitely worth the wait!

Goodness, you're a trooper for reading this! Now you know a lot about me. SCCAARRYY!! Hahaha j/j. As corny as this sounds, I had fun doing it. I know it's long but I just had to elaborate. Hehe! Have a lovely weekend!

Primer Review and Blabber Mouth!

Time for the Primer Review! I based this review on my full size MAC Prep+Prime, Deluxe size sample of Bare Escentuals PrimeTime and a one time sample of Smashbox PhotoFinish. Call me bias, but it's my opinion. So take it or leave it. =)

MAC Prep + Prime [$23]: I've been using this for a little over 3 months and I love it! I love the way it holds my makeup and smoothes my face out before applying makeup. It feels like a moisturizer too, which is a plus for my dry skin! It does have a slight shimmer in it, but it's not like chunks of glitter. So it gives that subtle glow. The Wompies: You don't know how much you have left! It's in a black bottle, so I have no idea if I'm even close to running out. BLEGH!

Bare Escentuals PrimeTime [$21]. Wow, this stuff really does improve the laydown before applying foundation. BUT! I don't feel like its as moisturizing as MAC's. I don't love it, but it's okay? Probably best for the summer and not for winter's harsh conditions. The Impressives: Oil-free, fragrance-free, allergy-tested, and dermatologist tested (according to Sephora). The Wompies: I still prefer MAC over BE.

Smashbox PhotoFinish [$36] Like I said in the beginning, I had a wee tiny sample of this stuff, hence one time use. I didn't like it! It supposedly has vitamins and antioxidants. The Wompies: It smelled like I was smearing Elmer's Glue on my face. The smell was blegh! BUT! Don't get me wrong, maybe I got a bad batch sample. It won "Best of Sephora" so who knows, if you love it, let me know. I'm curious. $36 is a lot for a primer though.. EEKS!

Okay, switching gears. Mario Badescu! I received my samples earlier this week. I think my original request was lost in the mail, so I requested my sample set again. My Goodies: Strawberry Scrub, Orange Soap, Buttermilk Moisturizer, Ceramide Eye Gel, Ceramid Eye Cream, Aloe Lotion or Toner (I forgot!). So I've only tried the Strawberry Scrub and my gah! I'm in loooooovvveee! You can see the seeds too! But it also reduces blackheads, so that's good in my books. I still do those Biore strips once a week, and I'm such a dork because I stare at my strip after I pull it. The husby thinks I'm crazy, but I just think it's gross so I keep staring. GAH! Weird, I know! So my Ceramide Eye Gel is in the fridge and I apply it at night. I hope I see good results. I really need it to lighten my dark circles. Thanks for the recommendation, Iyah! OooOH if you'd like samples, go to Mario Badescu's website and fill out a questionnaire. They should follow up via email and ask if you'd like samples.

My good friend Kim works for Ratner Corp, which basically owns CIBU! The merchandising dept had a flea market and she was able to score me some goodies! I'm sooo stoked! The bad thing is that she's making me wait till Christmas! GAH! Thanks a lot, Kim! LOL!

So while I have to wait patiently, I can't help but think of new hair products I want to try. I desperately want to try Halo! GAH! I heard their stuff is amazing. Ulta carries it, and why not take advantage of those coupons that they send. Hmmmm... after my Christmas shopping, I just might treat myself! Hmmm...ooooOOooh I'm also eyeing that Enzo Milano Curling Iron. Has anyone tried it? Let me know!

My husby came home last night!! I was soooo happy. He was only gone for 5 days, but it felt like forever! Especially since that's the most we've been apart since we got married! The longest we've been apart so far was for 4 months, gah! and that's when we were dating! I know I'm going to make a lot of sacrifices as a military wife, but I support him all the way. We're hoping to get stationed on the west coast come 2010. Cross your fingers and wish us luck. It'll be nice to get out of good ol' va beach. I've been stuck here!

The "Mexicutioner" Takes Another!!!

Okay, so it's 1am, and I decided that while I wait for my hair to dry, I just have to rant about tonight's fight! Yes, the "Mexicutioner", Manny Pacquiao wins another fight! I nearly died when the commentator called him a "Mexicutioner!" What a perfect name for "PacMan", I've seen him take down Barrera, Morales, Marquez, and much more! The family has always supported Pacquiao from the beginning and he did not let us down tonight. MY GAH! He spanked De La Hoya, the punch stats were absolutely ridiculous. De La Hoya is old for a boxer, and it's time for him to retire. Although he's done good in the past, he's physical capability was not up to par tonight. WOMP WOMP! So sorry GOLDEN BOY! At the end of the 8th round, it was declared that MANNY PACQUIAO was the winner tonight!! WOOHOO! Winner winner chicken dinner!

Anyways, so last night, I coordinated my company's holiday party at Ruth's Chris. Even though I was running a muck throughout the week to make sure everything was done right, I was soo happy with the results. I coordinated the party at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. YUM! It was my first time there! The service is absolutely amazing. Plates were served scorching hot to ensure your last bite is just as good as your first. So, my advice to you, looking for a good place to celebrate a special occassion? RUTH'S CHRIS! Ooooh and the one in Va Beach has happy hour from 5-7am with 5 dollar martinis. YUM! Yes, I had my signature Pineapple Upside Down Cake Martini. One of MY FAVES! [UPDATE: So, as I mentioned I coordinated the company party and I'm happy to say that we raised a huge amount for our local Foodbank AND! The box was full of canned goods to support the Foodbank, it was even overflowing!] It feels good to do a good thing. I definitely donated a portion to the Foodbank, so if you're thinking about running to MAC or Sephora, wouldn't it be nice to sacrifice one little purchase to donate to a good cause? Just my opinion.]

GAH! I know I said my next post would be the primer post. BUT! I don't have my camera on me. So that'll be the next post, promise! But I'll add in a beauty review since I'm here. Ookay, so what sucks about reading blogs is that I get suckered into making purchases. GAH! Even when my sis-in-law, Patricia comes over, we just run our mouths about products. The last time I saw her, she showed me her Jemma Kidd products. I, of course, was in absolute awe.

Therefore, my product review is on Jemma Kidd's Air Kiss Shine Lip Gloss in Undress

The Impressives:
Non-sticky. I'm not a big fan on sticky lipgloss, even though those usually last longer. I used to apply MACs LusterGlass in LoveNectar, but I experienced a slight side effect. My lips were extremely dehydrated.
Vitamin E. This is mainly what suckered me into purchasing this bad boy. Due to the winter's harsh conditions and dry air, vitamin E is crucial.
Packaging. I'm a sucker for packaging. I love items with slim and sleek packaging. Yes, I do judge products by the packaging, it's that marketing eye! LOL!

The Wompies:
$16. EEKS! Are you serious? BUT! I like this gloss better than MACs Lusterglass, sooo, It's worth it.
Smell. It doesn't have a "yum" smell, but it's very neutral. Slighty citrus scent. But it's okay.
Lasting. You'll probably need to apply every hour or so to keep that glossy look.

I wasn't sure if it's a good thing that Jemma Kidd is a Target. Although it's sold at Neiman Marcus stores as well. I go to Target often, so it's going to be a bit difficult to avoid this section.

Rice Krispy Treat Anyone?

Yesterday, I told the husby that I had a surprise for him. He said, "Oh really? I have a surprise for you too!". Knowing that it was unusual for him to have surprises, I didn't believe him. But he laughed and he said he really did, and he even said "PROMISE!" (We take that word very seriously in our relationship). Anyways, so I came home and I was anxious to give him his surprise! Lately, my husby has been getting into red wine, especially Pinot Noir, so since we have a crappy wine opener, I decided to get this wine euthusiast kit, ya know, it has the nice opener, saver, pourer, etc etc. Then he said, "That's not for me, it's for us! HAHAH! It's nice though".

So then he goes, "YOUR TURN!". With this huge grin on his face, I knew he was up to something. When I saw that huge rice krispy treat, I nearly died on the couch laughing. WTF?!?!?! PUAHAHAHHA! Where do you find something like this??

Oh man, my husby is crazy. Where'd he get it? He got it from his coworker. I guess you can decorate this thing with frosting and make it somewhat like a cake. OR! You can just eat the whole freakin thing. I have to admit, I do love my rice krispy treats, but I would prefer if this sucker was homemade! LOL! It's okay, we'll still eat it. When? I HAVE NO IDEA! When ever I feel the urge for a heffer delight, I'll tear this sucker open! MmmM! Rice Krispy Treats on steroids... MmMM!

Thanksgiving Holiday & CIBU Cyber Monday!

Well I hope that everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving holiday. I'm sad to see this 4 day weekend come to an end. BLEGH! Back to work tomorrow, WOMP WOMP WOMP! Oh well, gotta make that money. My Thanksgiving was lovely! It was sooo good to be around family, friends, tons of food, and wine! MMmM! As for Black Friday, me and the husby decided to take advantage of the good deals. We started shopping around 9am and we didn't get home till 3:30ish? GAH! Our itinerary:

So! I was able to get some Christmas shopping done, but I wasn't able to resist some good deals. GAH! It's the junkie in me! BUT! I got a bonus at work so I deserve some goodies! Right? Ookay so my sis in law, Patricia, raved about Tea Tree Lavender Mint Shampoo/Conditioner. Soooo, while I was at the NEX, I had to check it out. Dang it, Trish! PUHAHA! Oh well, I LOVE IT! It definitely has that cooling/soothing feeling and it smells soo good and it just helps you wind down. I know the husby is freaking out a a bit cause I have way too many s/c in the bathroom. When he takes a shower, I can hear all the s/c's falling on the floor when he reaches for one. PUAHAH! EEKS!

Oookay, call me crazy but I wasn't too satisfied with my DiorShow Mascara. The last time I was at Sephora, I got Smokey Lash as a deluxe sample. Then, I noticed myself reaching for Smokey Lash over DiorShow. So at Sephora, I returned my DiorShow and purchased Smokey Lash instead. THEN! Since Sephora sent me a coupon via email, I had to use it! $15 off your purchase over $35. Soooo, I took advantage and purchased a NARS Luminizer. Now, here's where I'm bummed. I swatched, and I found the one I liked, well a couple. =). So the testers at Sephora have their little placeholder with the names of testers, well some dumb broad must have tested and didn't put it back in the right place. When I opened the package at home, it was the wrong color!!! GAH! I tried it, it was alright, but I prefer the one I wanted. Soooo, note to self: Look at the bottom of the product for the name, not the placeholder tester. Stupid me...

As for Saturday, me and the husby were complete bums! We just wanted to stay home. He wasn't feeling that great anyway. So, we loafed all day, and hung out in sweats and tees. It was sooo nice just to relax. We have been sooo busy running a muck the days before. I also wrapped presents, take a looky. I loooovvveee wrapping presents! It puts me in a good mood.

Oh yeah! One more thing! Look at what my friend Kim got me! I love her! PUAHAHA! But it definitely pays to have friends in the biz! She knows how much of a feen I am for hair products, so she calms my cravings.

Collective Haul & Random Ramblings

First of all, I just want to say that I'm sooooo amped that this a short work week. My GAH! I need the time off. OoooOOh and Thanksgiving is coming up! My favorite heffer holiday! I'm going to attempt to make stuffed mushrooms, either crab or spinach. MmmMMM! Oh and my brother is frying turkey too! I'll be glad to be surrounded in good company with good food and good wine! Heffer's Delight, MmMM!

On Saturday, I went out to the Williamsburg Outlets with my friend, Beth. It was a very successful trip! Not only did I get some Christmas shopping done, I also scored some goodies at CCO. Now, I can't be selfish and stingy cause the holidays are around the corner. I was tempted to buy more, but the inner me kept telling me not to you. I listened, and yes, I only got two things! I was hoping to score a 187 brush, but crash and burn! DANGIT! Instead I got the 188. AND! I also found an MSF in Warmed. WOO! It's discontinued at MAC so I'm stoked that I got it. It's quite comparable to NARS Laguna, I actually like my MSF better! Oh yeah, and since I have an obsession with scarves, I managed to get one more. Here's a peek of my black, white, and gray scarf! I'm notorious for wearing those colors to work, so I figured it would be essential in my wardrobe.

Next! On Sunday, I watched the first half of the Bears vs. Rams game with my husby. GO BEARS! We WON! WOOT WOOT! Then I left to head over to the mall to grab some Christmas gifts for him. The only time I can shop for him is during his "duty" days or when he watches football. Then, I wanted to get the UD Grindhouse sharpener because my MAC sharpener does no justice to my UD 24/7 pencil, WOMP WOMP! $8 for a freakin sharpener! Geez! Then I needed something to cover my hideous dark circles. I was playing with UD 24/7 concealer pencils, but no shade matched me. Plus, it looked cakey. Soooo, I decided to get Erase Paste by Benefit. Lo and behold, I think I found my holy grail product for dark circles! I loooovee this stuff! I'll do a review later down the week, or next week, whenever! And I'll post before/after pics too! Sooo, I was good again, only two things at Sephora but I also got a sample for Smokey Lash by Makeup Forever. My friend, Kim uses this and swears by it. I actually like it too! I think it's quite comparable to DiorShow. Say WAH?!?!? I know.. crazy huh?

As for today, I got my Mandom in the mail. They sent me Mandom Age Care, but I ordered Mandom Moist. On the invoice, they wrote "This is new packaging". Hmmm, did I just get ripped? Please say no. UGH! Well, I'll give it a shot and hopefully it works good. I'm not too excited because my sis in law, Patricia said it doesn't live up to the hype. GAH! We'll see...

OoOOoooh and one more thing! Last night, we were all talking about how snowboarding season is vastly approaching. HECK YEAH! We're all soo amped. I just talked to my brother about some special deals at certain resorts and I'm getting more and more excited! Me and the husby need to get our edges sharpened, once that's done, we're good to go! HELLOOOO POWWDDDEEERRR!! I'll still fall though.. OH WELL!

Sephora Package Arrived!

OoOokay, so here's my little Sephora haul! This is the last of my makeup purchases until I complete my Christmas shopping, and then, I'll reward myself! PUAHA! Let's begin!

I only bought two things! Yes, two things! I'm a good girl. Everyone raves about NARS Orgasm, so I wanted this DUO bad! Then! Since my mini shu uemera eyelash curler was a complete bust, I returned that sucker back! To replace the shu, I wanted DiorShow mascara. But since I placed the order online, I found a pretty sweet deal. For the same price as DiorShow, I was able to get the DiorShow Essentials DUO, which came with DiorShow and a mini eye cream! Then, of course, in the promo box, I entered "BEAUTYBOX" and received this mini train case with 15 samples! WOOT WOOT! I'm a sample whore, I know!! Oh yeah, and since my Sephora card reached 100 pts, I got a deluxe sample of UD 24/7 liner.

Pigments! The Body Needs

Mondays are pretty whack aren't they? BLEGH! Anyways, so when I came home on Friday, I had a little package waiting for me. Ailene told me about http://www.thebodyneeds.com/. I'm really not big into pigments. I only have one pigment, which is GoldStroke and I got that from CCO. The color payoff with using pigments are always good, so I thought I would give this website a shot. I have to admit, I was a bit hesistant. I've read mix reviews so I was a bit nervous. But I figured, $1.59 for a 1/4 tsp of a pigment? Not bad at all. 1/4 tsp. doesn't sound much, but the website says you can probably get 25-30 uses from it. I don't doubt it one bit, it already takes for-ev-er just to go through one regular pigment jar!

Well the good thing about today is that my Sephora package comes in!! WOOO! No worries, I'll post! Keep an eye out for that too!

So everyone has been raving about Mandom makeup remover, and now I'm anxious to try it. My sis-in-law, Patricia even ordered it online. Hmmm, so I've decided to order online too! Me and Janelle decided to collabo on our orders so instead of each of us paying $10 bucks for shipping, we can just pay $11 bucks for the both of us! Smart cookies, aren't we? I'm so excited to try this out, it's oil-free, fragrance-free, alcohol-free, and no-color is added. Two to three pumps is all you need! Plus, it tones your skin while cleansing! I'm SOLD!

My Clinique's Cleansing Balm is almost out, so I'm in need of a new makeup remover. Plus, Mandom is soo much cheaper than Clinque. Actually, eh, nevermind, not with shipping. Okay, seriously, no more product buying (unless it's a necessity, not a want! PUAHA). Me and the husby starting Christmas shopping already and it feels good to get stuff done right away. At least we won't be rushing last minute.

SURE did!! Thanks to May's contest on Colour Theory, I answered her 5 questions and WON! YAYEE!!! I was so stoked. It was weird though, because I checked my email when I came home. I noticed that I received a comment from Diane saying "Congrats...".. Then, I found out through May's blog that I did win! Thank you May for the contest! I'm absolutely stoked that I won! PUAHAHA! I'm still new to this blogging world, and so far, I'm loving it! Everyone is extremely nice and I'm able to get some tips from fellow junkies! So, thanks guys! You guys are dope!

As for today, me and the husby watched "Role Models". Oh man, that movie is hil-ar-ious! Oh yeah! We got some Christmas shopping done too! PHEW!

Four Eyes! But It's also FRIDAY!

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE! Oh my GAH! I absolutely live for my weekends. Anyways, the weather has been crappy from where I'm from. Lately, it's been pouring, so no need for sunglasses. BUMMER! Instead, I decided to pull off my geeky look for work and rock the glasses. I need to wear them often to give my contacts a break. By the way, did I ever mention that I am blind! I mean B-L-I-N-D! You know what's the worse, when I take off my contacts and I can't find my glasses!! I'm like an old woman! PUAHAH! I've learned my lesson, and now I always have my glasses near when I take them off. =). I desperately want lasik surgery! Once my vision settles, I'm doing it! Has anyone gotten their eyes zapped?? If so, be a darling and let me know how it went! Thanks!

And for now, I'd like to take a moment and give praise to you bloggers that do EOTD (eyes of the day for my non beauty readers) and FOTDs (face of the day). My GAH! It's hard to do that ish! Or maybe I'm just being retarded. But when I wake up, I get ready for work and I'm out the door. I don't have time to take pics and do ish (PUAHAH! Except for today, I took a pic with my webcam to show off my nerd specs!). Maybe I just need some practice.

SO! I returned that Mini SHU at Sephora during my lunch break. I opted for a gift card, instead of crediting my card back. I wanted to order online because the deluxe samples (when you're bank hits 100pts) at the store were soooo whack! But online, they had the 24/7 Urban Decay liner. Plus, you get three more samples by just ordering online. AND! If you enter "BEAUTYBOX" in the promo box, you get a mini train case with 15 more samples. I'm a sample whore, what can I say? But yes, you bet I'll take pics when my package comes in. I'll let you know what goodies I bought then =)

No MORE product shopping for me! I'm done! This Sephora order was my last (but it wasn't bad considering I used my credit from my SHU!) Christmas shopping begins this week. HAPPY FRIDAY!

First Palette

Yay! My first MAC palette is complete! It took awhile, but it's okay. I'm soo glad to see it w/o any holes! So, being the geek that I am, I added the names of the eyeshadows. As you can tell, my palette is "warm". I haven't really experimented much with color, but I love how dramatic I can get my eyes with playing up these shadows. I love having all my e/s in a palette, it makes it easier to pick out colors to match certain clothes. HEHE! So far, I'm loving Twinks and Embark for my everyday work look. Anyways! If I decide to build a second palette, you guys gotta tell me what your holy grail eyeshadows are! Actually, just tell me now.. what are you favorite e/s?

So I'm pretty disappointed with the mini Shu Uemera. Geez, I thought it would make my eye lashes amazing, but uhhh NO! What a rip! I'm just going to stick with the regular Shu. Others rave about it, but maybe cause they know how to do it and I don't. PUAHA! So, I'm going to return that sucker at Sephora and purchase the NARS bronzer/blush DUO! Thanks to Ailene, I read her blog and gasped when I saw the duo! Everyone has been raving about the Orgasm blush, but the fact that this DUO comes with the Orgasm Blush and Bronzer is good in my books! WOO!

So, I really want a Bamboo tablet (It's your fault, TINA! Haha, j/j)to play with my photos and ish. I'm adding it to my Christmas list. Along with a KitchenAid mixer so I can make my own freakin cupcakes like Georgetown cupcake, Madison Coach bag, Dior Mascara, Armani Face Fabric (Since Tricia [sis in law] and Iyah!) rave about it!). EEEKS!! PUAHAH!

Weekend in D.C.

I was so amped to head over to D.C. this past weekend. It was good to spend quality time with my bro, Kim, and Patrick. On Saturday, we headed over to Georgetown. I love the way this place looks! Outdoor shopping with boutiques, yes, my kind of place! We checked out some stores that we didn't have in VA beach. Then, my eyes go straight to MAC! WOO! I don't live close to a freestanding store, so I was stoked! My main reason for going is to fill my palette! Yes, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! I only needed 5 pans, so here's what I got

1. Sumptous Olive 2. Twinks 3. Coppering 4. Antiqued 5. Texture

Geez, I also went to Sephora. I know, it's bad because I know I could have taken advantage of the Friends and Family discount, but I'm a bit impatient. I have a feeling that shipping will take forever cause of everyone else's order. I was good though, only two things! Juice Beauty eye cream, which I've been lemming and the mini Shu! (I already have the reg one!) WOO! I'll take pics when I do this!

Oh yeah, I also got my "grandma" loafers from Steve Madden! Haha, I always wear heels during the week, so it's nice to have a pair of flats to calm my feet. I needed loafers! See that gray bag? That's the freakin shopping bag that they give you when you purchase shoes. Nice eh? I'll be using this tote bag for something someday...

So, I was really impressed with me and and Kim! We went to MAC again at Fair Oaks Mall, and nothing impressed us. I guess because we were at the MAC in Georgetown the day before and we already stocked up on all the stuff we needed. By the way, I'm also impressed with the guys. They were really good while we shopped. Even though we spent forever at MAC! Oh yeah, and I was really impressed with the girl that helped us! She was soo nice! I complimented her makeup and asked what eye shadows she used, and she actually used the ones I bought! SCORE!

It was a good weekend, not only did I get most of the stuff I "needed", I also had the most mouthgasmic experience at Georgetown Cupcake. OH MY GAH! I'm dead serious, I've never had a cupcake that tasted so good. It was voted Washington's Best Cupcake! We had to pay our dues and wait 45 minutes to get these cupcakes. Yes, there was an effin line! But it went by fast! I'm glad that we also met up with Marinel and Christian too!

Now, being the heffer that I am! Yes, I took a picture with my cupcakes! PUAHAH! The last pic is of my brother and his girlfriend, Kim.

These cupcakes costs a pretty penny! For the half dozen that me and Patrick bought, we spent $15 for a half dozen. Jeff and Kim spent $30 for a dozen! EEKS! BUT! It's worth every penny. We all agreed that they probably sprinkle some "angel dust" on their cupcakes! We craved each cupcake and savored each taste! HAHA!

Okay, now for the last picture! Here's a picture of me and Kim's dog, Zeus! He's a good dog, he makes me want a dog! Me and Patrick really want one, but our townhome won't let us! GRRRR! One day! Lookie, we're both sportin scarves! The next pic is a picture of my hair! I usually roll my hair everyday, but this time, I decided to put it up in a ponytail! She said that it looked like one of the fake hairpieces that those Asian ladies sell at kiosks! LOL! All I need is some glittery thingies and some butterflies coming out of my hair. But no, this is not a hairpiece! This is my real hair!

I almost got my eyebrows threaded this weekend, but Kim said there wasn't much to thread! BUMMER! Anyone get it done? Better than plucking? Results? Please answer...thanks!

4 Years

Well today is November 7th, and if Patrick and I were still dating, today would mark 4 years! Pretty crazy huh? We tied the knot on August 17, 2008 and I couldn't have asked for a better companion. I truly married my best friend! He makes me smile and after four years, the love hasn't died down one bit. Yes, I still swoon over him! (Mushy mushy! I know!). He's supportive in all that I do (even my junkie ways!). I'm lucky and blessed to have him in my life.

On a different note. We're leaving for Nova right after I get off work. I'm all packed and ready to go. But geez, I realized that I hate packing. It's only a weekend trip, so no need for a suitcase, just a duffle bag. But geez, I have my duffle bag with clothes, my makeup train case, and my tote bag filled with hair products and tools. I know that the husband is going to freak when he comes home and sees all the bags at the door! It's only a weekend trip, I know! But still! I need my hot rollers, CHI, blowdryer..hairproducts... EEEKS!

Oh yeah! I did a mini haul at ULTA last night too! Back to Basics Shampoo/Conditioner was only $4.99, so I bought the straightening one. I've used it before and loved the results. Along with my purhcases came a smoothing serum by TextureLine (sample size). I decided to try it since Janelle raved about it. AND! A boar bristle paddle brush. Sorry, I didn't take pics. I was too excited to use them! LOL!

Mario Badescu has DOPE Customer Service!

So for my last post, I asked what you guys thought about Mario Badescu. Being the nerd that I am, I decided to do an online consultation. I filled out the questionnaire and answered all questions about my skincare. Afterwards, they provided a list of products that fit your skin.

TODAY, I received an email from MB and they asked if I wanted to receive samples! Well, DUH! I love samples! So they are going to send samples for my dry, sensitive skin! WOOO! I even called to see if they can replace a sample for their control cream for my eczema. They said they'll just send a separate package for that. Niiiccceee! Their customer service is amazing. They are the nicest people. I'm impressed. I hope the products work! I still love my Juice Beauty though. So we'll see...I think I'll use MB for on the spot treatment and stuff like that.

As for you, go fill out the questionnaire on their website and score some samples for yourself!

I can't help but drool over these two things... puahaha! Two totally random things, I know!

Anyways, I've decided to start my Christmas shopping after this weekend! I'm not going to procrastinate! I told Patrick that we need to make our list soon of what to buy for who. We'll probably do it while we drive up to Nova this weekend. YAY!

So, I realized that I'm in need of an eye cream. I have one by Clinique, but I don't think it does any justice for my dark circles. Yeah, concealer can cover it up, but I don't want to have to apply concealer all the time. I get plenty of rest, so I have no idea where these dark circles are coming from. I'm thinking, either Juice Beauty eye cream or Mario Badescu. Has anyone used Mario Badescu products? Love it, hate it? I'd love to know!

Sephora emailed 20% coupons to BeautyInsiders! Woooo! Maybe I should use that to get a discount off my eye cream?

MAC's Little Darling collection came out. Nothing is really appealing to me. The pigment collection look nice, but I'm not in love, or the the least to say "drooling" over these products.

This post is not going to be beauty related, but today was a very important day for our country. I woke up early to hit the polls, but the line was absolutely ridiculous! So, I decided to leave the line and come back in the afternoon. Sooo, I left work around 3ish and I only waited for 40 minutes! Yay!

But, I feel good about voting. It's a good feeling to know that I had a say in an election that's going down in history.

Spending the Weekend with My Love!

Mushy Mushy, I know! But! It was really nice to spend time with my love without rushing to go somewhere. It seems like we're always so busy. We usually have somewhere to be, or someone to meet. This time, it was different. We were able to just relax and go wherever we wanted. On Saturday, we just ran errands and got some shopping done. I'm really holding back from my product buying ways because I want to save up for this weekend. He even asked if I wanted to go to Ulta and I said "No..." Crazy huh? It's been two weeks since I've purchased anything at MAC, so I'm quite proud of myself. I can't wait for our little weekend getaway to Nova to visit fam and friends. I'll be able to shop at a MAC store and fill my palette. YAY!

Because I always wear heels at work, my weekends are my days off for heals (unless we're going somewhere nice). Patrick decided to surprise me and bought me new gray chucks! WOO! They're soo cute! I've been eyeing them, so I was happy! Plus, I wear a youth size in chucks so it's not bad deal (price-wise). I'm still on the hunt for some black loafers. Hopefully, I'll find them soon... *sigh*

On Sunday, I was quite the supportive wife! We headed over to the local bar to watch the Bears vs. Lions game. It was pretty fun! Everyone was sooo pumped! By the way, we won! But geez, I discovered that I've become a lightweight. Yes, after three freakin beers, I was buzzed. Oh geez, what happened to me? I'm a cheap drunk! By the way, we WON! GO BEARS!

HAPPY HALLOWEENIE!!! You found me! Yes, I dressed up as "Waldo" at work! Haha! I'm very comfy, it's like the only time I can wear jeans to work! Geez! But yeah, my work had a costume contest. I don't think I'll have any luck with winning though, there are some pretty good costumes around the office! I had to edit my photo a bit. The picture was taken with a whack "work" camera and there was no flash. Some couldn't guess what I was dressed up as! BUMMER! They never seen a Waldo book before! One guessed, "Asian Tourist?" I nearly died laughing when she said that. OH geez! LOL!

LEGOS! How freakin creative! A lego man! WOO! I'm voting for her for best costume!

And of course, my office neighbor, SPIDERMAN! PUAHAHAH!

OoooOoh, so Halloween is tomorrow! I'm so glad that it's on a Friday this year. Not quite sure if I have any plans besides staying in and passing out candy with the husby. We might have my little cousins swing by so they can trick-or-treat in our neighborhood instead. I have a costume idea, and I will be wearing a costume to work tomorrow. It's kind of a secret, so you guys are going to have to wait till tomorrow to see what I'm going to dress up as. HEHE! AND! If you know, you better not spoil it on my blog! I'll whoop you! Hehe not really, but keep a hush please.

Last year, my cousin, Irene and I decided to dump the "sexy" costume. We had a friend's party to attend, so we decided to switch it up a little. It's hard to find a humorous costume for a female! Everything is "sexy" nurse, "sexy" cop, "sexy" rag doll, "sexy" witch, etc!

So I was Mario (don't you love my Mario sad face?), and my cousin was Luigi! We had so much fun last year! Especially with those white gloves. Imagine playing "flip cup" with those gloves. LOL! But we had soo much.

As for work, here's my costume from 2007! Posing with my two faves, Kerry and Beth (which they no longer work at the office! =( ergh!). I was "Operation"! I even had a little buzzer on my hip and tongs for my parts. Yes, my parts were removable and magnetic. This year, my costume isn't as exciting for work as it was. But, it's still pretty funny. Just wait and see!

And just to note: There's nothing wrong with the "sexy" costume at all. It's just not me, plus, my butt is married now. So there's no one to impress except for the husby =). Anyways, if you remember from Mean Girls - "Halloween is the one night a year when girls can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it." Soooo TRUE!

Rambling and Juice Beauty

Yayee! I added music to my page. Found this band through my husband. I came home from getting my pearly whites cleaned yesterday, and he was sitting right in front of the comp listening to this band. He said that he thought about me when he heard this song. Awww.. shoooo shweett! (Hopefully he won't feel embarassed that I posted this, loovvee you!). Love the reggae sounds, it reminds me of our honeymoon in the Bahamas. Damn, I need a vacation again!

OOkay, so I have to rave about my new favorite product. I can call it my fave because I've used it for a week and a half and it has improved my skin tremendously! Everyone raved about Philosophy's Purity Cleanser, so I gave it a shot. I noticed my skin felt tight after washing, and I had red bumps around my cheeks. BLEGH! So I brought it back and bought Juice Beauty's Cleansing Milk. Oh my GAH! I love this stuff. I recommend this for people with dry and sensitive skin.

Bummer! This weekend is coming to an end... back to Monday. WHACK! Anyways, since I started this blog last Tuesday, I wasn't able to show off the goodies I got at MAC! Soooo.. here we go:

109 Brush - My ultimate fav! I seriously love this brush! It's a small contour brush, but it's definitely good to use as a foundation brush. I paired this up with my Mineralized Skinfinish Loose, and it buffs so well! Janelle recently purchased this brush too, and she can attest! If you don't have it in your brush collection, I highly recommend it! Oh yeah, my friend Kim is a MAC MA and she used this brush for my wedding makeup and my face was absolutley flawless.

Brow Set (clear) - A good way to groom the brows

Mineralize Sheersheen Powder (Sheerbronze) - Highlighter with the right amount of shimmer

Bronze e/s - (not pictured because I depotted it! I'll show you my 1st palette in a later blog)

Paintpot (Groundwork) - Uh, just cause I'm addicted to buying paint pots! BUT! This is an everday base for me.

I haven't had a chance to check out the holiday sets. Although I'm tempted to, I'm trying to hold myself back from MAC until I go to D.C. (NoVA area). We'll see if I can do it.

As for this weekend, I was able to drag the husby to the mall! Wooo! I bought a few fall clothes, not too much though. Hopefully, I'll find more stuff later down the week. OoOh and I bought two more scarves. I think I'm done with purchasing scarves, I have way too many now.

Then! I dragged him to ULTA too! Oh goodness, I felt like a kid in candy store. Talk about CHI irons and blowdryers galore!! I only bought 2 OPI nail polishes and a huge round brush to style my beastly hair. Oh yeah, I got a free eyebrow waxing because I signed up for an ULTA points card!

One more thing! On Friday, I received my BeautyCrunch package! YAY! I only bought two things, but I'm very satisfied with my brush roll. I'm really happy because now, my brushes will be protected when I travel. Okay, I'm all

over the place with this blog, oh well!

With my husband, of course! BUT! I'm also in love with my new hair!! OoOooOOOh. Okay, I have to admit, I was a bit nervous with getting shorter layers. I've had my fair share with getting my hair effed up (in the past not lately!), but this time; it was a totally different experience. Being trusty with my friend, Kimero and her suggestions; I decided to visit her hairlady. She knew exactly what I wanted, and she gave me tips on how I can achieve this look with my hot rollers (I use them every day!).

I kept my length, so it was nothing drastic. But she created shorter layers and texturized the bottom so that my layers have more definition. Now, instead of having a buttload of volume at the end of my hair, I'm going to have all over big hair volume! YES! Without the heaviness. I'm excited.

She used a CIBU product to create lift at the roots. CIBU Root Booster! Yes, I bought it. Yeah, the junkie in myself told me to get it! I loved the way it worked and I wanted it right then.

Long Hair Don't Care

Say goodbye to my thick hair!! Well, I'm not drastically chopping my hair off, but I have decided to get more layers to lighten the load. I need to have it texturized! I took Kimero's advice, and I'm going to visit her hairlady at Bubbles. This doesn't mean I'm breaking up with my hairstylist, Carolyn (I still love you!), I just need a quick change. Plus, it's closer to the house. My hair is way too thick and it's taking forever to blowdry it. I feel like it's way to heavy and I'm not getting any lift at all.

Ookay, the husby pitched an idea to me the other night.

"What about the GooglePhone?"

Having my heart set on the iPhone, I was still open to the idea. Here comes the research! I've been reading a couple of reviews on it and checking out the specs. I told him, as long as I have a calendar/organizer and wi-fi, I'd be set. I believe it's less expensive to stick with T-mobile, because AT&T will cost a pretty penny with the data plans. The only thing I'm bummed about is that T-mobile has some dead zones (especially the places we visit when we snowboard!). Then again, who says I'm going to carry an expensive phone while snowboarding? Hmmm.

I don't think the GooglePhone (G1) is a as sexy as the iPhone. But the white GooglePhone is quite pleasing to the eye.

Oh yeah, with further research, I discovered that the GooglePhone doesn't have video? That's so weird!

I love my MACbook and my iPod, so maybe I should be loyal to Apple? Hehe!

I've been on the hunt for a brush roll. (I ruined one of my MAC brushes during the honeymoon, so I now know the importance of protecting my brushes! I learned my lesson the hard way).

When I went to Kim's MAC event on Sunday, I wasn't too impressed with MAC's brush roll at all. I couldn't fathom spending $45 on a brush roll. Eeks, sorry! Not a high roller! No offense to MAC, I still love you...

So, after doing my "nerdy" research. Lo and behold, I found a Stila brush roll on BeautyCrunch.com. $12 bucks for a brush roll!! WOO! I was stoked! BeautyCrunch.com sells TooFaced, DuWop, and Stila cosmetics for 50-60% off lower than orginal priced. Some stuff they carry is limited edition or past holiday sets. But, you should definitely check the website out. What's there to lose?

By the way, shipping is about $8, so pick up as much as you can. I ordered my stuff on Monday morning and a couple hours later, I received confirmation and a tracking number. I should receive it on Friday. I'm so stoked!
